TYRE GALLOWAY TOLBERT
Young Tyre Galloway Tol- bert was granted his angel wings on Wednesday, Novem- ber 1, 2017. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he touched in small ways throughout his short, yet memorable life. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Novem- ber 11, at 2 p. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Ave., with Bro. Charles Barnhill, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Even though, Tyre’s life would seem short to many, those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quan- tity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could al- ways be heard.
Although, Tyre’s illness made him appear frail he pos- sessed strength, perseverance and an ability to overcome in- credible odds and physical chal- lenges. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories.
He could spend hours lis- tening to his music and watch- ing his dancing lights. One of his favorite past times was lis- tening to his cousins and sib- lings running about and playing. He will forever remain in our hearts. Tyre had an amazing life surrounded by family and caregivers that loved him dearly and were touched by him and his amazing smile each and every day. Through his teaching us in life, we are able to create such wonderful mem- ories and it has been a privilege to be his Nana.
Tyre leaves behind count- less caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced and extended his quality of life. Tyre’s love extends to his won- derful nurses, Ms. Liz, Linda, Ursella, Cassandra, Ms. Silvia, Lynn, and many others that touched his life and are too nu- merous to mention. They gave Tyre so much love and dignity in life.
Tyre is survived by: his “Nana,” Yvette Tolbert; mother, Shantil Galloway; grandfather, Willie Galloway; Papa, Todd Brown; sisters, Jermya Peoples and Jermia Peoples; uncles, Thomas Gordon and Willie Kennedy; and he was fortunate to have his great-great aunty, Dorothy Barnhill.
Viewing hours are to be held Friday, November 10, from 5-8 p. m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33606.
