100,000 Vehicles In Tampa Have Unrepaired, Recalled Airbags
More than 100,000 vehi- cles in Tampa and 1.1 million vehicles in Florida have unre- paired, recalled airbags. When exposed to over time to heat and humidity, these recalled airbags can transform from life-saving devices to life- threatening ones – in a crash,
they could rupture and cause injury or death.
To help keep drivers safe heading into the sum- mer heat, the National Safety Council and local Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and Ram Truck dealers have launched Airbag Re-
call Repair Month in May.
This statewide campaign aims to convince Florida driv- ers to make safety a priority by taking immediate action to prevent serious injury and death in the Sunshine State. This safety recall impacts 27% of all passenger vehicles
statewide.
Florida drivers can get
their airbags repaired for free in three easy steps: Locate your vehicle’s 17- digit vehicle identification number (VIN).
Drivers should check the driver’s side dashboard or their registration and insur- ance documents.
Enter your VIN into CheckToProtect.org.
Drivers will know within
seconds if they have a recall.
Schedule a FREE repair appointment at your local dealership.
Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and Ram dealers have parts in stock and technicians on hand all month.
Repairs take about an hour to complete, and many dealers are open extended hours and can provide complimentary transportation while vehicles are being repaired.
College Student Skipped Meals & Parties To Pay Off Grandparents’ Mortage
*Quiet as its kept: Many young people today don’t seem to have time to spend time with their grandparents...or let me rephrase that, they may not make the time to spend with them.
Hell, you’re lucky
if you can get them to
hold a conversation
with you; or at the
very least, THINK
about you sometimes. So it is definitely newsworthy when a young man does something as incredible as hand his grandparents a check that will not only pay off their mortgage, but send them on a much- deserved vacation.
Enter 24-year-old Stepfun Darts, who revealed the gift of a lifetime that he bestowed upon his beloved grandparents in a Face- book post.
Talk about giving your loved ones their flowers while they’re still here!
Darts wrote: “I promised God in the second grade I would pay off you guys house and help you retire. A promise I would never break. The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen, nor touched, but are felt by the heart. Even with this, I could never repay you for what you’ve done for me,” Darts wrote, even sharing what he did to save the money.”
