Last Sunday, Darrell “Bubba” Wallace, Jr. hit the tracks in Daytona as the ‘first black driver’ since 1969. But that is just one of the many records he set in history that day.
Last October, Wallace was announced to be a full- time driver for Richard Petty in 2018, and it made him the first full-time African-American driver at the sport’s top level since Wendell Scott in 1971.
The 24-year-old from Mo- bile, Alabama, fearlessly drove the legendary No. 43 Chevrolet for Richard Petty Motorsports that “The King” Petty himself drove to seven wins in the Daytona 500.

While the Golden State Warriors paid no attention to Donald Trump’s “with- drawn” White House invita- tion, the 2016-17 NBA champions put together an- other activity that still com- memorated their win.
The Warriors toured the National African American Museum of History and Cul- ture (NMAAHC) with stu- dents from Washington, D.C.
In a statement made by Warriors shooting guard, Klay Thompson, this visit serves as an educational tool for the youth and that the franchise’s goal is to not insert politics into their decision.

Kawhi Leonard Returning To San Antonio In Hope Of March Return
KAWHI LEONARD Kawhi Leonard’s sea-
son isn’t over just yet. According to reporters,
the San Antonio Spurs for- ward is returning to team fa- cilities in Texas to work out with the hope of returning in March.
Leonard had been in New York to seek further con- sultation on his right quad in- jury, where he was working out at NBPA headquarters. He will now join up with teammates and hopes to play five-on-five in the near fu- ture.
The Spurs had been preparing to enter the play- offs without Leonard, but it sounds like that fear may not be realized if all goes accord- ing to plan. Gregg Popovich had gone so far as to make that pronunciation publicly, but if he was trying to put pressure on Leonard toputuporshutup, itmay have worked.

Pachulia Reportedly Will Not Be
Punished For Fall On Westbrook
Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachulia will not be disciplined by the NBA for his fall on Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook accused Pachulia of landing on him with intent to injure, which Pachulia has denied. The NBA, it seems, has sided with his view of things.
Ultimately, the NBA likely determined that there was nothing clear enough about the incident to justify taking action. That will come as a

major disappointment to some players, who are clearly fed up with Pachulia’s ac- tions.
