 Three Young Women Earn College Degrees
In upcoming weeks, hun- dreds of schools throughout the nation will be holding graduation exercises. Armed with their respective degrees and certifications, these young women are prepared for their future.
Ms. Jayla Brown is a re- cent graduate of Florida A & M University. Ms. Brown graduated Cum Laude with a 3.1 grade point average.
She recognized as an honor roll student and was active with the HSPSA Student Union and a member of Pad- dyfoote Representative.
The 22-year-old woman is the daughter of Jerome and Jacqueline Brown and a member of Grace Mary Mis- sionary Baptist Church.
Ms. Brown earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science with a minor in Rehabilitation.

completed requirements to earn her Master’s Degree is Ms. Jamesha Cobb. Ms. Cobb, 24, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.6 grade point average. Her major was Sports Management.

She is the daughter of James and Toynetta Cobb.

    Tampa Educator Named ‘Florida AP Of The Year’

On Friday, May 5th, Ms. Zemenaye Harris reported to work at Booker T. Washing- ton Elementary School. But, she had no idea what sur- prise lay in store for her.
On that day, Florida De- partment of Education Chancellor Jacob Oliva was on hand to surprise Ms. Harris and present to her the certificate of “Florida AP of the Year,” for the 2020- 2021 School Year.

She grasps the essential need for a si- multaneous, relentless focus on academic achievement, a positive culture, and equity for all students and stake- holders.”
