Whoopi Goldberg Wants Disney To
Beyoncé Donates $1 Million To
Small, Black-Owned Businesses
Most people usually enjoy receiving gifts on their birth- days, but on the eve of Bey- oncé’s 39th trip Saturday around the sun, the superstar made sure to give back to her community.
According to her website and her BeyGOOD Foundation’s Instagram page, Queen Bey will donate $1 million to small, Black-owned businesses, and “round two of funding opens this month with [their] part- ner, NAACP.”
This will be Beyoncé’s sec- ond donation with the NAACP; the first came in July, when she provided $100,000 grants to small, Black-owned busi- nesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in cities such as Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and New York through BeyGOOD. This partnership is aptly called

Additionally, in April, Bey- oncé teamed up with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in order to donate $6 million in support of mental health and wellness organizations through Bey- GOOD.

Build A Wakanda Theme Park In
Honor Of Chadwick Boseman
"The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg is calling on Disney to build a Wakanda theme park in honor of the late actor Chadwick Boseman.
Boseman -- who played T'Challa/Black Panther, the king of the fictitious African kingdom of Wakanda in the blockbuster "Black Pan- ther" -- died of colon cancer, it was announced on Friday, after battling the disease pri- vately for four years.
In the wake of his death, Goldberg, 64, urged Disney to make some changes to its popular attractions, insisting "we don't really need another Frozen land."
There are several "Frozen" attractions at Walt Disney World in Orlando, including "Frozen Ever After" and a

chance to meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Summerhaus at Epcot, plus "A Frozen Sing- Along Celebration" at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Some events are listed as temporar- ily unavailable because of the pandemic.
"Dear People in charge of
building NEW experiences Disney Land and World we don't really need another Frozen land BUT what we could use is Wakanda," she tweeted. "Please Disneyworld Disneyland PLEASE build in Chadwick Boseman's name WAKANDA (Sic)."
Disney Has Reportedly Decided On How To Proceed With Black Panther 2
After the tragic passing of star Chadwick Boseman, Marvel Studios would be well within their rights to draw a line under the Black Panther franchise completely, and allow T’Challa’s first stand- alone outing to live on as a per- manent monument to the legacy of the man under the mask. With over $1.3 billion at the box office, an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture and a reputation as a landmark of both popular cul- ture and representation in blockbuster cinema, it would certainly be a fitting tribute.
However, the next few months will see many conver-

sations going on behind the scenes between Kevin Feige, director Ryan Coogler and the returning cast and crew, with the sequel originally scheduled to start shooting next March in order to meet
the May 2022 release date. In fact, Boseman was so deter- mined to defeat the illness that took his life that he was set to begin training for his return in a matter of weeks.
The plan at the moment is for T’Challa to be written out of Black Panther 2 before the story starts as he’ll apparently die off-screen. Shuri will then assume the mantle and be- come Wakanda’s new protec- tor on a permanent basis. Details beyond that remain un- clear, but the film itself will no doubt look to pay respect to an actor that inspired a genera- tion and convinced them that they could be heroes.
Boosie Badazz Wants To Launch A Petition To Free Bill Cosby
Despite the fact that Bill Cosby is serving three to 10 years behind bars after being convicted of drugging and sex- ually assaulting a former Tem- ple University employee at his Philadelphia home in 2004, as well and has had to deny the dozens of other sexual assault allegations against him, Boosie Badazz wants the

actor to be released from prison.
In a seemingly unprovoked tweet on Tuesday (September 1), the “Wipe Me Down” rap- per expressed his desire to see Cosby a free man and even suggested an actionable item to put his plan in motion.
“Free Bill Cosby Let’s Start A Petition,” he wrote.
