Akiem Hicks Takes Shot At Mike Glennon While Discussing Colin Kaepernick
     BEAUTY UNLIMITED
  EMNY
This week’s Beauty Unlimited feature is the lovely Emny, and she’s definitely a bright spot for this hot summer ahead of us. Emny knows it will take more than good looks and luck to get her to the top, and she’s willing to put in all the hard work it will take. She also believes by staying focused and not accepting no for an answer, she will continue to progress toward her goal of complete success. Congratula- tions to Emny as this week’s Beauty Unlimited feature.
Chicago Bears defensive lineman Akiem Hicks did not mince words when dis- cussing how he felt about Colin Kaepernick’s inabil- ity to find a new NFL job after kneeling in protest dur- ing the national anthem.
Hicks voiced his opinion that Kaepernick had been blackballed by the NFL due to his national anthem protests. As evidence, he sim- ply pointed to the fact that his team gave Mike Glennon a

$45 million deal three years ago when Kaepernick had just left the San Francisco
49ers.
Hicks’ point was that the
Bears could have signed Kaepernick, who had led a team to a Super Bowl appear- ance. Instead, they signed Glennon and made him the starter. He went just 1-3 be- fore being benched in favor of then-rookie Mitchell Tru- bisky. The Bears cut Glen- non after just one year of his original three-year deal, and he hasn’t started for any other team since.
  Florida State Player Threatens
To Boycott Workouts Over Coach
Mike Norvell’s False Claim
Mike Norvell has been the head football coach at Florida State for just six months, and it appears he is already dealing with his first locker room divide.
Tashan Reed of The Athletic asked Norvell ear- lier in the week if he has spo- ken with Seminoles players about the racial injustice protests that were sparked by the killing of George Floyd. The coach said there has been a lot of “open com- munication” and that he has had individual exchanges about the issues with each player.
Apparently, that was not entirely true. Junior defen- sive tackle Marvin Wilson took to Twitter late Wednes- day night and said one-on- one conversations between players and Norvell “did not happen.” He said the team received a generic text message about the Floyd in- cident and the protests and that Seminoles players are “outraged” that Norvell lied. Wilson added that players will not be attending workouts until further no- tice.
It’s unclear why Norvell would make a claim like that if it didn’t actually happen. Some wondered if Reed misquoted Norvell, but the reporter said he recorded the conference call then tran- scribed it like he does with all of his interviews.
