Popular Clothing Retailer Fashion Nova Pledges $1M To Combat Racial Injustice
Keke Palmer Urges National Guardsmen To 'March With Us' During Protest: 'Be The Change'
      Fashion Nova, the clothing retailer known for its relation- ship with Cardi B, is backing up its words with money. The company announced it’s do- nating $1 million to organiza- tions fighting for racial equality on Wednesday (June 3).
“Last Friday we announced that we were working on a plan to support the #black- livesmatter movement,” the company wrote via Insta- gram. “We have spent the past
four days since then working with black community lead- ers, influencers and ambassa- dors to develop a plan. Today, Fashion Nova Cares an- nounces our dedication to on- going action. We are pledging to spend $1 million dollars throughout 2020 in donations for community re- sources and activism, aware- ness campaigns and other initiatives to help in the fight for racial equality and oppor- tunity.”
Keke Palmer wants to see change.
The Singled Out host, 26, made a passionate plea to members of the National Guards during a peaceful demonstration in Hollywood on Tuesday, urging officers to "be the change" and march with people protesting racial injustice and police brutality in the wake of George Floyd's death.

Referring to President Donald Trump's recent pub-
lic address, in which he threat- ened to deploy the military in response to the protests, Palmer tells the soldiers, "You have to pay attention to what's going on or else we have a president that's trying to incite a race war."
"The borders are closed. We can't leave. We have people here that need your help," she continues. "This is when y'all stand together with the com- munity, with society, to stop the governmental oppression. Period. We need you, so march with us."

Music superstars The- Weeknd and Drake have both donated $100,000 to Na- tional Bail Out.
The Weeknd, 30, and Drake, 33, gave to the organ- ization Monday after singer- songwriter Mustafa the Poet encouraged them to donate. Mustafa the Poet himself gave $400.
