School Board Candidate Shares Background With Readers
I am a teacher, mother, veteran and community volunteer. As the wife of a US Army soldier, I have spent many years working and volunteering in schools across the country. Tampa is where we have planted our roots and own a home in District 5.
I spend time working as a substitute teacher and volunteer in many District 5 schools. I have witnessed 1st hand our current needs.

District 5 students deserve a quality
education, certified teachers in every classroom as well as safe, clean schools. Resources should be a priority and our staff should be fully supported. As your next School Board member not only will I hold the superintendent accountable, I will be present in schools and the community. I want to hear your concerns and I want to see what is going on in our schools for myself.
The world is quickly changing and we must elect officials who are able to adapt to these changes. The one thing that will never change is that Education is an important key to success and it is time we provide that key to our students in District 5.
