Ever since she was a child and accepted the Lord, MaeVonia Floyd has been on a spiritual journey. Sev- eral years ago, she began at- tending Refreshing Church in Seffner under the tutelage of Apostle Samuel Phillips, Sr. and his wife, Pastor Velma Phillips. Apostle Phillips is a strong believer in identity, knowing how your attributes and strengths can help someone best serve God. He and Pastor Velma encouraged Floyd to pursue the Kingdom Identity project.
Floyd says that this was the beginning of her class, Prophecy or Perceiver, A Kingdom Identity Course. She says she had so many gifts and she was seeking an- swers on where she fit.
She continues, “God had previously spoken to me and told me to learn the language of my gifting.” She spoke with her mentor Bishop Lana Langston because she knew the Lord had something for her, but traditional roles were not it.
Bishop Langston also spoke to Floyd about iden- tity with more specificity. In- stead of just claiming prophecy, Floyd learned she needed to find out what type of prophet she was.
Growing from her study of Romans 12, Floyd learned to hone on and appreciate the gifts God had given her. Her ministry now aims to help others discover their identity in Christ, their Kingdom Identity.
Floyd also has a degree in Human Resources and works in the field. She says that her interest in helping people find the right fit for them

merges her Christian and sec- ular worlds.
Floyd has taught the year- long version of the class twice before COVID hit. This course will be for five months, with one class per month. The cost is $40 per class. If you purchase all five classes, there is a discount.
Floyd states that since her courses are through her training center and not a par- ticular church, attendees of the class will be from differ- ent churches and can take the lessons learned back to their home churches. The commu- nity is then enriched by the knowledge and people can find the best fit for them to help their church.
In the future, Floyd would like to train others to teach the classes. She also wants to start a college at the training center.
Floyd is married to Christopher Floyd and is the proud mother of Angel, both of whom she credits with the support and love that keeps her going. They re- side in Plant City.
