Rebuilding Together Partners With Lowe’s To Impact Six Low Income Families In East Tampa
On June 24th, as part of the commitment to the Mayor and City Council Re- siliency Plan for the City of Tampa, Rebuilding To- gether and Lowe’s volun- teers provided essential repairs to six frontline workers and low-income neighbors in Tampa Bay. NFL player Chris God- win helped with the event.
One of the homes where repairs were made was at 3202 East 27th Ave., in the Jackson Heights neighbor- hood.
The repairs were done as part of the “Home For A Home” Super Bowl cam- paign. Lowe’s launched the
“Home for A Home” cam- paign, an engaging way to give back to communities in need, during Super Bowl LV. For every nationally tel- evised Super Bowl commer- cial that mentioned the word “home,” Lowe’s do- nated $10,000 to Rebuild- ing Together to provide essential home repairs for frontline workers.
Additionally, in honor of the winning Super Bowl team, Lowe’s donated $100,000 to complete home repairs in Tampa Bay. The effort was led by local non- profit affiliate, Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay, which has served the community
for more than 20 years. Repairs included, but were not limited to, roof re- placements, installation of new allergen-free flooring, plumbing repairs, home in- sulation, smoke and fire safety upgrades, interior and exterior painting and
landscaping.
