Students Charged With Making Bomb Threat
Two 13-year-old boys were arrested and charged with the false report of a bomb, arson, and weapon of mass destruc- tion on public property.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, SRO Cottrell, the school resource officer at John Long Middle School, was made aware of “a group of students” who were said to be planning a school shooting on the last day of school.
The first suspect was re- portedly in an area known as The Commons, when he ap-

A second student agreed to participate in the hoax. No other students have been linked to the incident, but the investigation is continuing.
Police did not release the names of the students because of their ages.
