Gus Trent Hosts Over 1,500 At Summer Rodeo Fest
More than 1,500 sat in the stands at the Florida State Fairground for the 2018 Gus Trent Rodeo Fest. The event, held on August 25th, featured Bull Riding, Bar- rel Racing, 4 Horse Relay Race, Tie Down Roping, Mounted Shooting and fun for the whole family. (Photographs by Julia Jackson)
Host and Master of Ceremonies, Gus Trent welcomes those in attendance.
LaDonna Bryant, Big John Lloyd and Thomas Bryant were outfitted in their rodeo gear.
Rev. John T. Warren, Assistant Pastor of Bible-Based Church, opened the Rodeo with prayer.
Kennedy Warren, with Rev. John T. Warren, sang the National Anthem.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Valeria) Cunningham, President and Producer of The Bill Pickett Rodeo, shown with Trent, were in town from Denver, CO to support the rodeo.
Also attending the rodeo were Romma and Lance Sutton and Alphonse Stewart.
New Junior Cowbory, Anthony Johnson with Cowboy Benson.
Martha and Jerome Ballard enjoyed the rodeo event.
Shanice Johnson and her sister Marli Broxton enjoyed get- ting up close to the horses.
Those in attendance watched the tie-down roping.
