Children With A Vision Preparing For Pre-Thanksgiving ‘Blessings’

Children With A Vision will host its 18th Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Blessings in a little different manner. This year with the pandemic of COVID-19, the words ‘Pick Up’ have been added to Blessings – “Blessings Pick Up.” Those who are served will pick up a meal and leave.
In the past, Children With A Vi- sion founder, Mrs. Tonya Lewis, hosted the event and invited the com- munity to come by and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal, a few days before Thanksgiving.
This year (2020) the event will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 –2p.m.-5p.m.,attheOpenAir Market, 3601 N. 29th St. (Tampa

Mrs. Lewis said this year’s bless-
ing menu will consist of: turkey, ham,
baked chicken, turkey wings, collard greens, black-eyed peas, potato salad, dressing, macaroni and cheese, can- died yams, turkey gravy, cran-
berry sauce, homemade caks, sweet potato pies, tea, lemonade and water.
In addition to the bless-
ing menu,
there will
be free gently
used clothing and gift cards to raffle.
As Mrs. Lewis is
in the process of gathering items to prepare the menu, she has secured the services of many individuals and organizations and says anyone who
wants to participate as volunteers or donate to the event, may do so. Those who donate clothing, please make sure it’s clean and gently used.
