Pastor John Gray ‘Publicly Honors’ Wife After Cheating Again
The Relentless church leader took to Instagram to show love to his wife Aventer Gray.
Pastor John Gray is mak- ing headlines again for al- legedly cheating on his wife.
Pastor Gray took to Insta- gram on Friday to “honor” his wife, Aventer Gray, and says despite the fact that he has emotionally cheated, he has never slept with another woman.
“A few months ago I sat down from leading at Relentless. My life wasn’t in order. Church isn’t first. My wife is. This is my wife. She is from God. She is a life giver. She is a kingdom builder. Her name is Aventer,” Gray captioned.
The popular South Carolina
AVENTER AND JOHN GRAY
pastor of the Relentless Church has been accused of cheating as far back as 2019. In an inter- view on The Real in March 2019, Pastor Gray said his af- fair was emotional, not physi- cal. He claims that when he and his wife were having problems he confided in someone other than a counselor or a pastoral
leader and admitted that it was wrong.
Despite Gray’s insistence that he did not physically cheat on his wife, however, there re- mains speculation that the af- fair was in fact more than emotional.
In the lengthy Instagram post Gray said that marriage is about consistent growth.
“I never knew what consis- tent discipline, planning, lead- ership, manhood, or personal holiness in action from a man’s standpoint looked like. Living a shadow life, God was unwilling to let me die assuming I was whole. I failed to uphold the holy standard of God in my marriage,” he said.
“And I’m sorry. Although you
are the only woman I’ve ever slept with, emotional unfaith- fulness is just as wrong. Sin is sin. People want to minimize one sin over another, when it all can get you sent to hell...My wife deserves better...So since I was the cause of public embar- rassment, let me be JUST AS LOUD ABOUT PUBLIC HONOR.”
Hurricane Eta Churns Toward Florida’s West Coast At Category 1 Strength
Hurricane Eta churns off Florida's west coast, reaching hurricane strength for the sec- ond time.Portions of Florida’s Gulf Coast are beginning to feel effects from Hurricane Eta’s outer bands as the Category 1 storm makes its approach to- ward Florida’s west coast, with winds at 75 mph and the poten- tial for “life-threatening storm surge," forecasters said.
A hurricane watch is in effect for Anna Maria Island to Yan- keetown, where hurricane con- ditions are possible within 24 hours, forecasters said.
By Thursday, “life-threaten- ing storm surge” of up to 5 feet could occur on portions of the Florida Gulf Coast from Bonita Beach to Steinhatchee River, in- cluding Tampa and Charlotte Harbor, forecasters said. The area is under a storm surge warning.
Eta’s tropical-storm-force winds stretch out over 115 miles.
Rainfall of 2 to 4 inches, with maximum storm total accumu- lations of 6 inches, is expected in western and central Florida in the next 48 hours.
As of 10 a.m., Eta was 115 west-southwest of Port Char- lotte and 145 miles south-south- west of Tampa, moving at 10 mph, according to the hurricane center.
The latest forecast track has Eta offshore of the southwest coast of Florida on Wednesday, mak- ing an approach toward the west-central coast of Florida Wednesday night, and then traveling inland over the north- ern portion of the Florida Peninsula on Thursday.
A tropical storm warning and a storm surge watch were issued for Florida’s west coast from
Bonita Beach to the Suwannee and Steinhatchee rivers, includ- ing Tampa Bay and Charlotte Harbor. A tropical storm warn- ing is still in place for Dry Tor- tugas.
Eta should start to weaken Wednesday night or early Thursday due to storm-shred- ding wind shear.
