Bucs' Jameis Winston Excels In Week 12 Win
Florida State Denounces
Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Jameis Winston completed 29 of 38 passes for 312 yards with two touchdowns and no intercep- tions in the Buccaneers' 27-9 win over the 49ers on Sun- day. He also rushed seven times for 24 yards.
Coach Dirk Koetter couldn't have asked for a bet- ter performance out of Win- ston in his return to the starting job, as he remained mistake-free and connected with eight different pass catchers overall. Winston opened the scoring with a six-
with a 28-yard scoring toss to Adam Humphries in the fourth quarter that served as the final points of the day for either squad.
The 2015 first overall pick's future with the fran- chise beyond this season re- portedly remains in flux, but performances like Sunday's, which qualified as his third 300-yard performance in four starts, certainly serve as a ringing endorsement for a longer-term commitment.
Winston will look to pro- vide a fitting encore against the Panthers in Week 13.

Florida State president John Thrasher condemned a racist social media post in- volving head coach Willie Taggart on Sunday and said the Florida state attorney is investigating.
A screenshot of a meme posted to Facebook showed Taggart's head edited onto an image of a man being lynched with the words "Be- lieve in Something Even If It Means Sacrificing Your Rep."
The image started making the rounds on social media Saturday night after Florida State closed a disappointing 2018 season with a 41-14 loss to rival Florida.
"A recent racist social media post aimed at our foot- ball coach is ignorant and despicable," Thrasher said in a statement released on Florida State's Twitter ac- count. "I speak for the entire FSU community in express- ing our disgust and extreme disappointment, and I am

glad the state attorney is in- vestigating.
"Coach Taggart has our full support and as true Semi- noles know, he is a respected member of the FSU family."
Taggart, the first black football head coach in Florida State history, was hired last December from Oregon. He led Florida State to a 5-7 record in his first season, fail- ing to qualify for a bowl game for the first time since 1981.
This is also the school's first losing season since 1976.
UCF Goes Undefeated Against USF, 38-10
Racist Post Featuring
This year the War on I-4 took place at Raymond James Stadium which holds home to the USF Bulls. UCF would look to make it two straight wins after last year’s thrilling matchup at Spec- trum Stadium.
This year’s matchup was- n’t quite the same as USF (7- 4, 3-4 AAC) didn’t have quite the same explosive- ness on offense as they did 364 days ago when they
played the Knights last. Offensively the first two drives stalled out, USF would get one first down off of a Chris Oladokun run and then go three-and-out. UCF’s first drive would come to an end after 9 plays and 40 yards. USF’s next drive would come to a close after UCF’s Richie Grant came across the field and in- tercepted Oladokun’s pass intended for Yafeo Davis. UCF gave the ball right back on the third play of their drive as McKenzie Milton would throw an interception
also.
Darriel Mack, Jr. took
the helm for the Knights. This would be his second time playing a significant amount this season. His last time out was against East Carolina where he went 12- 10 for 69 yards. This time out he would go 5-14 for 81 yards.
The Knights relied heav- ily on the run game as Adrian Killins ran for 65 yards, Taj McGowan ran for 72 yards and a touch- down and Greg McCrae ran for a huge total of 181 yards alongside 3 touch- downs.
The final score of 38-10 would push UCF’s winning streak to 24 straight games, as it would also extend the Knights’ record of games where they score 30+ points to 24 straight games.
Ravens Get An A-

At Quarterback
With Lamar Jackson
These aren't your father's Baltimore Ravens, and it's starting to look like they might not be Joe Flacco's Ravens either.
For the second straight week, Lamar Jackson was Baltimore's starting quarter- back. For the second straight week, the Ravens offense steamrolled its way to a win.
With Jackson under cen- ter, the Ravens don't really try to hide their game plan: They're going to run the ball down your throat, and that's exactly what they did to the Raiders during their 34-17 win on Sunday.
Although Jackson strug- gled in the passing depart- ment against Oakland -- he threw two interceptions -- he more than made up for it

with a rushing performance that included 71 yards and a touchdown. Jackson gives the Ravens offense a rushing threat that's non-existent when Flacco's on the field. Against the Raiders, Jack- son had as many rushing touchdowns (one) as Flacco has had since the beginning of the 2017 season.
