1,000 Children To Receive Books At Annual Book Fair

On Saturday, May 6th, The Second Annual Children’s Book Fair will take place. The event will be held at Robert W. Saunders, Sr., Library, 1505 N. Nebraska Avenue, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The goal of the book fair is to provide 1,000 books to 1,000 children. In addition to the free book giveaway, story- tellers, face painting, STEM activities, authors make and take crafts, edutainment, will provide great entertainment for children of all ages.
Calvin Reynolds is an illustrator, graphic designer, and author. He will serve as is the keynote speaker at the Book Fair.
Reynolds developed a love of art at an early age. However, he didn’t pursue his chosen field until he reached high school. He was applied and was accepted into the prestigious Ringling College of Art and Design. After earn- ing his BFA degree in Illustra- tion, Reynolds launched his career.
He has provided profes-
sional illustrations and graphic designs for Fortune 500 companies. He has cre- ated breathtaking graphics for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA, ESPN and his per- sonal favorites Star Wars, Marvel Comics, and Disney.
Reynolds has been rec- ognized for his talents and was awarded the 2013 Peer Recognition Award from VF Imagewear/LSG.
Reynolds is married and the father of two children.

Hands Of Hope Hosts Hats, Lace, Pearls, Gloves And Diamonds Tea
Hands of Hope Sickle Cell Awareness Foundation, Inc. hosted a “Hats, Lace, Pearls, Gloves, and Diamonds Tea.” This event was held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Seminole Heights Branch Library. Ms. Candy Lowe of Candy Lowe Tea Time was the guest speaker.
