In 2013, Cherrell Watson re- turned home after completing mili- tary service with a purpose. She enjoyed her time in the military, but law was her true passion. She wanted to contribute something in the legal field while pursuing her law degree.
Last year during COVID, Watson opened Affordable Legal HELP, LLC. Recently, she celebrated a grand re- opening and first anniversary at her new location – 10940 N. 56th Street, in Temple Terrace. Due to COVID-19, the company had to go 100% virtual. Although they are back open, they still offer virtual and mobile services to accommodate its clients. The tax business also has a mobile app to vir- tually file taxes.
Affordable Legal Help is a multi- functional business that assists indi- viduals and companies with tax preparation, legal paperwork, busi- ness plans, and mortgage/home counseling. Ms. Watson is also a notary public and mortgage loan orig- inator.
Always the entrepreneur, Wat- son has formed a partnership with the Winn-Dixie grocery store at the corner of 56th Street and Busch Boule- vard. Currently, the shopping carts have an advertisement for Affordable Legal Help. In the next month or so, Winn-Dixie and Affordable Legal Help will have a joint event for the surrounding neighborhoods. There will be fun, food giveaways and prizes. Watson seeks to show the community that her company is al- ways working for and with them.
Watson is not resting on her lau- rels; her next venture will be an af- fordable car dealership.
A native Tampan, Watson grad- uated from Riverview High School. She is the wife of Montez Watson and they are the parents of two chil- dren.
