Activities Include Games, Crucial Conversations And Brunch
Tampa Bay-area mentoring group, Brothers United Build- ing Brothers Alliance, Inc., also known as “BUBBA,” is back for another year of uplifting fa- thers, sons, mentees and men- tors alike during Father’s Day weekend. The 3-day weekend will include activities to cele- brate the power of essential re- lationships between men and young men.
BUBBA is a non-profit that was founded to empower, edu- cate and engage young men of color by improving their lives through empowerment and de- velopment via various events, workshops and volunteer op- portunities around the Tampa Bay area.
The Father’s Day weekend will kick off on Friday, June 14, with an evening outing for young men and men to unwind at Dave and Buster’s in Tampa. Fathers can join their sons, mentors can join their mentees, and children of all ages can gather at this family- friendly event. Food and game cards can be purchased through the group’s Eventbrite link.
An engaging panel discus- sion and resource fair serves as the signature event and will take place on Saturday, June 15 at the Portico Café in Down- town Tampa. “Crucial Conver- sations” will be discussed here and serve as a platform for the community to come together and talk through emotional, psychological and socio-eco- nomic issues that impact the father and son relationship.
