Maze Runner: The Death Cure - The leader Thomas and friends ( Dylan O’Brien, Dexter Dar- den, Thomas Brodie-Sangster) embark on a mission to save their friend (Ki Hong Lee) and find a cure for a deadly disease. Started off slow, but picked up to making this a very good sci-fi thriller. No. 1 at box office- $27M U.S./ foreign- $97M- (budget- $62M)- ****
Den Of Thieves - An elite group of bank robbers called the Outlaws ( Pablo Schreiber, 50 Cent, O'Shea Jackson, Jr., Evan Jones) plan an seemingly impossible heist on the Federal Reserve Bank, but are investigated by an elite unit of the LA County Sheriff Dept. (Gerard Butler, Maurice Compte, Mo McRae). This well written, off -the-chain crime saga is well worth seeing for action fans. Check it out in the Dolby theater for the shoot out sounds. Director Christian Gudegast did a great job putting together this suspenseful thriller and the surprise ending. Must -see! Didn't feel like it was 2hrs/20mins long. Made $28M (budget N/A)- classic
Proud Mary - Mary (Tariji P. Henson) is a trained assassin for an organized crime family in Boston ( Danny Glover, Billy Brown) , when Mary’s life is completely changed when she finds an unconscious boy (Jahi Di Allo Winston) laying in the street. Mary takes him in and all her problems start. Director Baba Najafi had a chance to make Henson into an action legend, but falls way short with too much di- alogue between Mary and the disrepectful teen. Still the movie was slightly above average with Henson doing her best to save the film. Made $16M (budget- $19M)- **1/2
The Commuter - A former cop/ businessman (Liam Neeson) is caught in a criminal conspiracy during his daily commute home. Neeson has to find and kill the person the mob is looking for. Must admit that Neeson has the right formula for his action films. Really enjoyed this action-packed thriller of who is the person he’s looking for out of a hundred passengers. Must-see! Made $31M - (budget- N/A)- ****
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle - Four teenagers discover an old video game console(Ju- manji) and are literally drawn into the game’s jungle setting, turning into the adult figures ( Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan) they choose to be. Action-packed but the storyline was weak. Hate to say it for a Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black film, wait for it on DVD. Made - $331M U.S./ foreign- $486M (budget-$90M)- **1/2
Star Wars: The Last Jedi - Director Rian Johnson starts the Last Jedi right where it left off with Rey (Daisy Ridley) struggling to get Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) to train her and return back to the Resistance. Meanwhile, The Resistance ( Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher) prepares to do battle with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the First Order. Definitely a must see for the Star Wars fans. Enjoyed it. 2hrs/32mins long. Made - $610M / foreign- $701M-(budget-N/A)- ****
Wonder - Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of a kid, August Pullman (Jacob Tremblay) with facial differences, who enters the fifth grade at a elementary for the first time. His parents ( Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson) help him cope with the harassment of kids in the school. Director Zack Snyder (The Man Of Steel, 300) did a great job keeping this action-packed thriller at a fast pace and the special effects were off the chain. The film features a special surprise that makes it worth going to see. Can't figure why this film received bad reviews, but it's a must-see for action fans. Check it out in Dolby or IMAX theaters for the sound. Made - $228M- U.S./ foreign- $427M- (budget- $180M)- **** and then some.

If Your Birthday Is Today: You might appear to be eccentric but you always aspire to do well. You are enthusiastic about whatever you do. It’s time to get a better understanding of who you are. Explore med- itation, yoga or other disciplines. This is also a year of teaching and learning. What you learn this year will be crucial for your progress and success next year.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Not all Full Moons are equal. You will really feel today’s Full Moon because it is opposite your sign, which means tension with others is likely. It might be as mild as just rolling your eyes; it might be severe enough for you to yell. But keep in mind it’s all gone by Friday.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): Issues regarding travel, work and dealing with publishing and the media might go off the rails today be- cause of the Full Moon energy. Do not despair because whatever is cre- ated today will tend to be solved or resolved by Friday. Fingers crossed!
Aries (March 21-April 19): Be patient with kids and romantic partners because today’s Full Moon will introduce tension. Likewise, keep your cool when dealing in areas of show business, the hospitality industry, sports and teaching kids. Got it?
Taurus (April 20-May 20): Be patient with family members today because this Full Moon is a bit excessive. Forewarned is fore- armed. Patience is the antidote to anger. And we are easily angered if we are unhappy! Chill out.
Gemini (May 21-June 20): This is a mildly accident-prone day for you because of the Full Moon energy. Distractions will be your downfall. But remember: Even if you are alert, someone else might be distracted! Drive defensively.
Cancer (June 21-July 22): Money disputes or disputes about property and possessions might come to a head because of today’s Full Moon. Something will be exaggerated or over the top. Just keep this in mind. (You don’t want to end up with egg on your face at the end of the week.)
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Today the only Full Moon in your sign all year is taking place. Send out for dark chocolate. Enjoy a glass of wine and triple brie on a cracker when you get home. Yes, be kind to yourself, then you can cut others some slack. That’s how it works.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): It’s a long shot but it might happen: This particular Full Moon might exacerbate any medical problems you have. If so, be reassured that symptoms will disappear by the end of the week. The Full Moon heightens energy and vibrations within us. But it only lasts about 48 hours.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): If you are socializing today (which a bunch of other planets want you to do), be patient with others, espe- cially younger people and kids. Today’s Full Moon can make people im- patient and on edge. You could say the world needs a tranquilizer today. Find a rose to smell.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): You will definitely feel today’s Full Moon because it is at odds with your sign. Your only recourse is to be patient with family members as well as be patient with bosses and VIPs. Don’t be a show pony today. Maybe you can hide somewhere in the great indoors?
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Today is a mildly accident-prone day for your sign. (We’re talking verbal accidents as well as physical ac- cidents.) Because of the energy of the Full Moon, you not only have to be aware of yourself, you have to be aware of others because they feel the Full Moon, too. Yikes!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Don’t get caught up in money quarrels today, which might occur because of the full-blown energy of today’s Full Moon. Table these discussions for another day if you can. And if not, keep in mind that these issues will be resolved by the end of the week.
