Jameis Winston Still Has Baseball Dreams

have agreed to end the practice of utilizing contract language that could be used to secure an injunction to prevent a football player from walking away from one sport to play a different one. Winston could be thinking about a Tebow-style career change, if Winston’s fifth NFL season doesn’t secure a clear and lucrative future for him as a second-contract quarterback.
Dak Prescott: Ezekiel Elliott Texts Daily During Holdout

Serious
Four years ago, the Bucca- neers were sufficiently con- cerned about quarterback Jameis Winston‘s desire to play baseball that they included in his contract a clause that would, in theory, have allowed the team to obtain a court order blocking him from either dab- bling in baseball in the offseason or quitting football to play base- ball full time. But no amount of boilerplate can eliminate that burning desire to add a second Major League sport to his reper-
toire“.It is one of my dreams,” Winston recently told Peter King of NBCSports.com (via JoeBucsFan.com) regarding the desire to play baseball. “It is something I would definitely look forward to.”
It’s a confusing statement, given the extreme difficulty of any modern athlete — especially a quarterback — also playing (or trying to play) professional baseball. It’s also not something that will make Winston more attractive as a looming free agent, especially since the NFL and NFL Players Association
Ezekiel Elliott is out of sight from the Dallas Cowboys, but not out of mind.
Quarterback Dak Prescott says that Elliott texts him daily as the running back holds out in search of a new contract. Prescott added that Elliott is doing work away from training camp.
At last report, Elliott was off to Mexico as he avoided Dallas’ training camp. There don’t seem to be any hard feelings between him and Prescott as the running back does what he feels he needs to do. Ownership is not happy, but things may change come Aug. 6 when El- liott needs to report to accrue a year towards free agency.

Derrick Rose is embark- ing on yet another new jour- ney next season, and he will be doing so with a very visible new tattoo.
Rose recently added a new tattoo to his collection. This one is on his neck, and it says “God Speed.”
Rose signed a two-year, $15 million deal with the De- troit Pistons this offseason. He enjoyed a bit of a resurgence with the Minnesota Timber- wolves last year, averaging 18.0 points and 4.3 assists per game. His 37 percent mark on threes was the best of his ca- reer, while his 48.2 percent from the field was his second- best career mark. He also got emotional early in the season after having the best game of his career.
NFL Preseason 2019: Dates, Ticket Info, TV Schedule And More For Early Showdowns
PRE-SEASON 2019
Lamar Odom must be se- rious about his new trainer girlfriend because he's speak- ing up in her honor after being accused of comparing her to Khloé Kardashian.
The former NBA star held hands with fitness guru Sab- rina Parr during date night at Craig's in West Hollywood on Friday, and hours later, slammed haters on social media who dragged his ex into his new relationship.
Making their way past pho- tographers as the shutterbugs flashed away, Odom made sure to keep a tight grip on his romance as he guided Parr to their awaiting car.
Parr, who's a personal
trainer, looked fantastic for her big debut wearing a snakeskin jumpsuit and clear heels.
Odom kept it cool for date night in dark jeans, a stripped blue shirt and his white kicks. Khloé's ex husband is used to being in the spotlight, but Parr is new to the Hollywood game.
Their romantic Italian date comes just hours after Odom announced his new relation- ship to the public.
Posting a snap showing Parr on his lap and holding his hand sweetly, Odom wrote, "What we have is much more than they can see."
One NFL preseason game down, four weeks to go.
While the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons played in the annual Hall of Fame Game on August 1, the other 30 NFL teams have yet to open their preseason schedule. But that will change soon, as every team will take the field for preseason action between Thursday and Saturday, August 10.
It may not be as competitive as the regular season, but the preseason gives football fans the opportunity to see their fa- vorite teams gear up for a new campaign. That features play- ers battling for roster spots, rookies making their profes- sional debuts and starters get- ting in work before the regular
season begins.
Here's a look at the televised
games for the first half of the preseason, followed by some top storylines to watch over the next two weeks.
