Mandale Jackson Graduates From Strayer University
More than 60 family members and supporters of Mandale O. Jackson traveled far and near to join him recently at his commencement ceremony, from Strayer University, Riverview campus. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
Mandale is the son of Anita J. Jordan and the first grandson of Tampa’s first African-American female Police Of- ficer, Patricia Pierce Coleman. Mandale is employed by AT&T. (Photos by Julia Jackson)
The graduate with his uncle and aunt, Tanya and Tony Bell (son of Pat Pierce Coleman).
Mandale with his immediate family: younger brother Brian Jor- don, mother, Anita Jordon, and sister, Robyn Jackson, M. D., of Chicago, IL.
Mandale with his aunts, godmother, and friends of his grandmother: Lyndora Clark, Emily Echols (best friend of Pat Coleman), Meme Key, and Tonya Hammond (godmother and longtime co-w0rker of Pat Coleman at TPD).
Mandale with other aunts and cousin: Denise Matthews, Gail Matthews and Karen Matthews.
The welcome was given by the Dean of Students, Dr. Christy Karnes.
The Graduation Speaker for the 127th Commencement was Tecia Bing, an alumnae of Strayer.
The National Anthem was performed by another alumnus, Alicia Williams, M.Ed. (2008).
