Imagine living in a world where the average life span is over 100 years and the quality of life for a person who reaches that milestone could be compara- ble to a 60-year-old. Sounds far-fetched, right? Bank of America doesn't think so. According to two analysts who work for the financial institution, Felix Tran and Haim Israel, unprece- dented advancements in fields such as genomics, big data (Artificial Intelligence) and nutrition, along with healthcare companies work- ing to eradicate disease are creating headways, they be- lieve, will make growing old and fragile a thing of the past. In fact, the prognosis for success in these areas is so high that they expect the life extension industry to be worth over $600 billion by 2025.
For anyone reading this right now, who may be get- ting up in age or dealing with a debilitating condition, this means there's a strong possi- bility that help could be on
the way. And, with the cost of these procedures projected to drop, being able to stick around a little longer may be more affordable than you think.
Genomics in particular, which includes a technology known as CRISPR that re- programs your DNA to fight off diseases like cancer, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's H.I.V. etc.., will probably have the biggest impact. And stem cell rejuvenation, which uses existing tissue to grow organs such as hearts and livers, will allow for a person to have replacements parts on standby after the originals fail.
There was a time when hearing about people living for hundreds of years was only found in Biblical lore. But if these scientists can ac- tually deliver the goods, what we once viewed as myths and legends will be our new real- ity.
This news also presents an opportunity for smart in- vestors as well. With tech companies like Vertex
pharma (VRTX), Neurocrine Bioscience (NBIX), Illumina INC (ILMN), Agilent Tech- nologies and Sangamo Ther- apeutics (SGMO) expected to lead the way in what is being called the new "techmanity" (technology meets human- ity) movement, now may be the perfect time to consider purchasing stock in one of these companies.
If the valuation that Bank Of America has figured is ac- curate, latching on to one of these potential whales could have extreme long term ben- efits. It could be the equiva- lent of buying into Apple in the 1980s, Microsoft in 1991 or FaceBook in 2012.
This glimpse of the future presents one of those rare moments in life when, 10 years from now, a person will be able to look back and ei- ther say to him or herself, "I'm glad I bought into that company when I did," or "If I would have jumped on board when I had a chance I could be a multi-millionaire today."
And the irony would be that, if any of these things helps you to cheat death for an extended period of time, making the wrong decision would mean being forced to live that much longer with the regret.

The Year 2100 On Planet Earth
t has become increasingly clear that President Don-
ald Trump and many people and business leaders have placed the almighty dollar above the future of the earth and our children. In fact, few adults seem to care if there will even be a future for tomorrow’s genera- tions.
Just listen to some of the more recent events that point to the status of earth’s health:
In April 2018, a baby dolphin beached itself and an autopsy revealed a ton of plastics, balloons, and plastic bags in the dolphin’s stomach. Plastic has also been found in fish, turtle, and whales.
The world uses so much plastic until at the same time scientists found there is so much plastic in our bodies until our stools contain 800 to 1,000 pieces of micro-plastics daily. The scary part is that no one knows yet the harm plastics do to our bodies.
Then, consider the Tampa Bay Climate Science Ad- visory Panel’s recent report projecting that the Bay Area faces a sea level rise of 1.9 to 18 feet higher than estimated three years earlier. By the year 2100, many waterside homes and businesses in the Bay Area will be flooded or relocated if greenhouse emissions con- tinue to rise and the rate of glacial melting increases.
Considering the fact that Bay Area waters rose by 8 inches since 1946, imagine what it will be like by the year 2100. Indeed, MacDill Air Force Base, waterside airports, and beachfront homes will be challenged to avoid being flooded or being under water.
The world’s food supply is already being affected by weather extremes that delay or prevent farmers from planting sorely needed crops because of rains and flooding. Providing financial aid to farmers, therefore, by the billions will not help unless major changes take place to curb greenhouse emissions.
The airline travel industry will be impacted by the flooding of waterfront airports. Moreover, the con- struction of homes and businesses will have to change in order to make them able to withstand stronger tor- nadoes and hurricanes.
Therefore, if you value the lives of your children and grandchildren, it is time to hold elected officials re- sponsible for implementing changes now.
If we fail to elect candidates who will place climate change as a priority, our future generations will con- demn us for not doing something about it, and right- fully so, regardless of comments made by a Wizard of Oz who said waste-water was rainwater.

   “Change always comes bearing gifts.”
~Price Pritchett Empowered Greet-
