SERENA AND VENUS WILLIAMS
Serena and Venus Williams won their first Grand Slam doubles match in nearly two years, advancing to the second round at the French Open on Wednesday.
The sisters dropped the first set before coming back to beat the 14th-seeded Japanese pair- ing of Shuko Aoyama and Miyu Kato 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in front of a Court 3 crowd that raucously supported the Amer- icans.
The Williams-Williams duo last competed at a major tournament together at Wim- bledon in 2016. They won their 14th Grand Slam title in women's doubles at the All England Club.
Minnesota Congressman Vows To Boycott NFL Over ‘Idiotic Kneeling Ban’
As the backlash continues over the NFL’s new national anthem policy, a Minnesota Congressman says he has de- cided to boycott the league.
In a tweet he sent over the weekend, Minnesota Repre- sentative Keith Allison said he is a football fan who no longer plans to enjoy NFL games because of the “cow- ardly and idiotic kneeling ban” the league has imple- mented.
Allison is at least the sec- ond Congressman to weigh in on the NFL anthem debate on Twitter, but Rep. Peter King of New York took the opposite stance when he ripped Jets chairman Christopher Johnson for volunteering to pay any fines his players may incur for protesting.

  For Not Shaking Hands
After Game 7 Loss
The Houston Rockets suf- fered a heartbreaking defeat on Monday to end their sea- son, and James Harden heard the criticisms after the game as well.
Following the Rockets’ 101-92 loss at home to the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Con- ference Finals, Harden walked right off the court without shaking hands. He was seen in the tunnel with his jersey already off as his

Wrong With Knee
The NFL’s wide receiver free agent pool got a little smaller on Tuesday, and that is not because Dez Bryant found a home.
Brandon Marshall, an- other veteran receiver who has been looking for work, announced that he has signed with the Seattle Sea- hawks.
Marshall posted a series of three photos on Instagram in which he shared the big news.
Marshall was released by the New York Giants this offseason, and he visited with the Seahawks earlier this month. The 34-year-old had
The Golden State War- riors prevailed over the Hous- ton Rockets in the Western Conference Finals despite not having Andre Iguodala for more than half of the series, and they may be able to over- come the same obstacle in the NBA Finals.
Iguodala is still recover- ing from a knee injury he suf- fered in Game 3 against Houston, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr said after Mon- day’s series-clinching win that the 34-year-old has not healed the way the team had hoped.
Golden State would prob- ably have some closure if there was a timetable put on Iguodala’s recovery, but he recently got a second opinion and still does not know ex- actly what’s wrong. The War- riors have labeled the injury a

left lateral leg contusion. Iguodala is planning to “search for a remedy in the coming days,” according to Haynes.
Iguodala bumped knees with James Harden during Game 3, and the play did not look all that bad. However, the swingman is said to be dealing with a bone bruise, and those can linger and be extremely painful.
