Charmettes Kick Off New Year Activities Following Retreat
The Hillsborough County Chapter of Charmettes’ An- nual Retreat weekend was held at the Safety Harbor Re- sort & Spa. The theme for the retreat was, “70’s Throwback With Hillsborough County Chapter.” The theme was se- lected as a tribute to the ori- gin of the chapter, which was installed into the organiza- tion in 1972.
The weekend began with a Welcome Reception, held on Friday evening in the hotel’s Fountain Grille Restaurant.
After dinner, the mem- bers gathered for Sisterhood Activities, which included playing games, listening to music from the 70’s, dancing, enjoying late night snacks, and a variety of drinks.
On Saturday morning, dressed in their 70’s attire, the members enjoyed eating breakfast together.
After breakfast, the chap- ter’s President, Charmette Janice London, called for the opening of the day’s first business session. During the session, the chapter outlined their “Calendar Of Events” for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
After lunch, the second business session was called to order, and President Lon- don adjourned the first busi- ness meeting.
