More Than 250 Artifacts On Display:
Artifacts From Perry Harvey, Sr. Park On Display In Old City Hall
Ground was broken back in July on the construction of the new Perry Harvey, Sr. Park. Since that time, more than 250 artifacts have been pulled from the construction site.
These artifacts provide a glimpse into the rich history into Cen- tral Avenue and the surrounding area.
The City of Tampa Archives and Records Dept. has put together a new exhibit, ‘Uncovering History: Perry Harvey, Sr. Park Arti- facts.’
The artifacts will be on display in the Mascotte Room in the Old City Hall Building, 315 E. Kennedy Blvd., until January 15, 2015. After the display closes downtown, a smaller version will move to the Robert Saunders Branch Library and will remain there for most of the year.
Please call ahead if you wish to visit the downtown exhibit as there are meetings held in that room.
