Community Service Day For Homeless And Others

Frank Reddick Scholarship Golf Classic Saturday

The homeless and other low income persons will gather to learn about services that could help them when Greater Bethel M. B. Church, Inc. hosts its Homeless/Community Service Day on Saturday, Octo- ber7,at9A.M. Thechurchis located at 1207 North Jeffer- son Street, downtown Tampa.
Program Speakers for this event will be Sascha Cherry, Victim Advocate of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay; and Hillsborough County’s State Attorney, Andrew Warren.
The event features 30 com- munity service partners, law enforcement officers and hous- ing representatives. Attendees could get State IDs, health in- surance, dental care, cell phones, bicycles, clothing,

Annual Frank Reddick
Scholarship Golf Classic.
The event will take place at
Rogers Park Golf Course, 7911 N. 30th Street, beginning at 8 a.m.
Golfers in the community are invited to come out chip, drive, and compete with the Brothers of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. The purpose of the tournament is to pro- vide funding to help increase the number of scholarships presented
to high school seniors who will enter college after graduation.
The men of The "Mighty" Pi Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fra- ternity, Incorporated, said the event will be enjoyable, fun, and will
benefit a worthy cause.
Since its inception, the Pi Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Frater-
nity, Inc., has awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships.
In addition to providing the scholarships, the Pi Iota Education Foundation, Inc., continue to provide financial assistance to the young men as they enter college. It also supports its cardinal prin-
ciples of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift.
Prizes will presented for first, second, and third place winners. Prizes will also be given for the longest drive, closest to the pin,
straightest drive, and a putting and chipping contest.
