Man Charged In Fatal Parking Lot Shooting

A 30-year-old man has
been taken into custody and
charged with murder. He
was arrested on October 22nd.
Carlos Knight, Jr., was charged with second-degree murder with a firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and shooting at or within a vehicle. He was re- leased after posting bond on October 24th.

sponded to the Bella Mar Apartment Complex, 12000 block of N. 15th Street, in ref- erence to several fights. They were also told that several gunshots had been heard.
When deputies arrived, they discovered an adult man dead in the parking lot.
According to Facebook posts, the victim has been identified as Adam Riley.
They also discovered that a vehicle driven by a Door Dash delivery worker had also been struck by gunfire. The driver was not injured.
The investigation into the death is continuing.
HOAI TIBMA
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman and charged her with defrauding Amazon. The scheme took place over a 5- year period.
According to police, be- tween March 2015 and Au- gust 2020, Ms. Hoai Tibma, 32, was connected to shipping and returning pack- ages for reimbursement scheme. She is alleged to have used 31 accounts with Ama- zon.
Investigators said Ms. Tibma ran the scheme where she reused pre-paid shipping labels generated for cancelled orders. She then applied them on other returns.
This tactic would make it appear that she had paid for her own shipping costs on the returns.
Investigators said she completed 42,000 individual returns on the 31 different ac- counts. The reimbursements were in Ms. Tibma’s name and totaled more than $100,000.
She admitted to commit- ting the crimes and was charged with one count of grand theft, police said.

Police are continuing their investigation into a fatal shoot- ing that took place last Sun- day. It took place in the 4700 block of E. Hillsborough, shortly after 2 a.m.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers were dispatched to the loca- tion in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered a 50-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was located just west of the Brentwood Mobile Home Park.
The victim, identified by sources as Lucious Glymph, Jr., of Tampa,. was trans- ported to a nearby hospital. He later died as a result of his in- juries.

Teen Accused Of Craigslist Killing Pleads Guilty

One of two teenagers tried as adults in a murder case has pleaded guilty. He also agreed to testify against his co-defen- dant.
Tampa Police arrested Dontae Johnson, 17, and 16-year-0ld Romontrae Williams. Both were charged as adults with first-degree murder.
Last Friday, Williams pleaded guilty to second-de- gree murder. He was sen- tenced to 12 years in prison, followed by 10 years of proba- tion
His co-defendant, Dontae Johnson, allegedly pulled the trigger. His first-degree mur- der trial begins next month.
James Beck, of Holiday, listed a dirt bike for sale on Craigslist in January 2017. Two Tampa teenagers re- sponded to the post.
According to police, 44- year-old James Beck, of Hol- iday, and his 15-year-old son arranged to meet with the sus- pects in an attempt to sell a dirt bike to them. They
arranged the meeting via Craigslist. After several com- munications, they arranged to meet a buyer in Tampa.
Beck and his son traveled to Tampa with the dirt bike in the bed of their truck. The fa- ther and son met the suspects shortly after 7 p.m., at the in- tersection of N. 18th Street and E. 24th Avenue.
Detectives said when it be- came clear that the suspects planned to rob Beck and his son, they attempted to leave. Johnson, then 17, al- legedly shot Beck and 16- year-old Ramontrae Williams took the dirt bike from the bed of the truck. Both fled the scene.
Beck died as a result of his injuries.
Williams was identified as one of the suspects and ar- rested the same night. Police also recovered the dirt bike near his residence.
Detectives quickly identi- fied Johnson as the second suspect and arrested him the following night.
