State Attorney To Host Community Workshop
AKA Chapter To Host Reception For

Attorney Andrew H. Warren, Hillsborough County State Attorney for the 13th Judicial District, is con- tinuing to reach various seg- ments of the community. He is utilizing the method of hosting a Community Work- shop in different areas of Hillsborough County.
Attorney Warren has scheduled the next workshop for Tuesday, September 19, 2017. It will take place from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., at the Wholesome Community Church, 16110 U. S. Highway 301, Wimauma, FL 33598. His continuing theme for this series of workshops is “To- gether we will make a differ- ence.”
There are several pur- poses for the workshop. They include giving the general public an opportunity to meet State Attorney Warren ask questions, and voice your opinions and suggestions.
Those attending the work- shop will also have the oppor- tunity, to learn about the changes implemented at the Hillsborough County State

Attorney’s Office under this new administration. One of those changes includes the County’s Civil Citation Pro- gram.

The workshop will also be translated in Spanish. Those planning to attend are not re- quired to have identification.
On September 15, 2017, Gamma Theta Omega, Incor- porated in collaboration with the members of the Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, will host two events as part of the 2017 Tampa Classic Weekend.
There will be a reception in honor of Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover. Dr. Glover is the President of Tennessee State University, and the International First Vice President, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorpo- rated®. She is the past In- ternational Treasurer, and serves on the Legacy Endow- ment Fund and Corporate Support Committee of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incor- porated®. The Reception is by invitation-only.
Dr. Glover has an ex- tensive history of serving on corporate boards of publicly traded companies including the Citibank Student Loan Corporation, Pinnacle Fi- nancial Partners, and First Guaranty Bank of Louisiana. She received an undergraduate degree in

Mathematics from Ten- nessee State University, a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University, a Ph.D. in Business and Economics from George Washington University, and a Juris Doc- torate from Georgetown University. She is a Certified Public Accountant, and li- censed to practice law.
The public is invited to Gamma Theta Omega’s 2017 Tampa Classic AKA Block
Party starting at 8 p. m. at the AKA House, 412 East 7th Av- enue, Tampa, Florida, 33602. The cost per person is $20.00 which includes light refresh- ments and two beverages. There will be a DJ, dancing, 50/50 Raffle, food trucks and other activities that will make this a night to remember.
