who grew up as next door neighbors have leading
roles in the movie, “The Turnaround.” The movie
will premiere in Tampa
on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Britton Theater in Britton Plaza. The movie time is 1:30 p. m.–3:50p.m.
The film will be a part of the Underground Film Festival held in Tampa November 30-Decem- ber 3, 2017, and has been nomi- nated for “Best Florida Feature.”
Hometown film producers Robyn Jones and Lorenzo Carswell have leading roles in the faith-based film.
Since its debut, “The Turn- around” has received several awards and nominations and been presented at several film festivals.
Most recently, Ms. Jones, Carswell and several members of the production team were in Orlando for the Orlando Film Festival, October 19-26. The movie was an official selection. The film was also nominated at the Orlando Urban Film and Music Festival, November 10th and 11th and won “Best Dramatic Feature.”
Ms. Jones and Carswell are very active in the film indus- try, outside of “The Turn- around” and their professions.
She is Executive Producer of a TV series, “American Terror- ist,” now in production in Or- lando; co-produced a short film, “The Season,” also in produc- tion in Orlando; producer of the movie, “The Haunting of Pot- ters Field,” production set to begin February 2018; and con- sulting producer and Medical Technical Advisor of the TV se- ries, “Becca On Call,” produc- tion scheduled in Los Angeles, CA during 2018.

Carswell has also been very active. Professionally, Ms. Jones is a Registered Nurse and educa- tor with the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA. She is the daughter of Ms. Erma Grif- fin.
Carswell is a Professor of Reading and Writing at Hills- borough Community College. He is also CEO of Carswell Con- nections Consulting, LLC. The father of 6 children is the son of the late Nita Henderson, for- merly very active in the College Hill/Ponce DeLeon communi- ties; and Minister Alfred Carswell, Jr.
“Robyn and I grew up next door to one another and have only strengthened our friend- ship through teaming up with several other producers to fur- ther expand our business rela- tionship. With the purpose God has for our lives, we will inform, inspire, and educate many peo- ple through present and future film productions,” he state.
Unfortunately, due to a scheduling conflict, Ms. Jones will not be in Tampa this week- end for the film festival. How- ever, Carswell will be there to represent the movie.
