Roman J. Israel, Esq - A awkward, underpaid defense attorney (Denzel Washington) is hired by a law firm (Colin Farrell) to do the small cases. Israel finds himself in a bad situation that led to a series of deaths. I must admit this film wasn’t a typical Denzel Washington’s action film ,but I was amazed on how he memorized a lawyer’s legal language for this film. Will be shocked on how it ends. Enjoyed it for being different. Made $6M (budget- $22M)- ****
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - A determined mother ( Oscar winning Frances McDormand- Fargo) challenges the local police (Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell) with billboards to solve her daughter’s murder when they fail to catch the culprit. This drama, light comedy was surprisingly good. Made $7M (budget-N/A)- ****
Justice League - With his restored faith in humanity, Batman (Ben Affleck) enlists the help of his newfound ally, Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot, Aquaman( Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and The Flash (Ezra Miller) to fight an even greater enemy, Steppenwolf (Cia- ran Hinds) and his demon like creatures. Director Zack Snyder (The Man Of Steel, 300) did a great job keeping this action-packed thriller at a fast pace and the special effects were off the chain. The film fea- tures a special surprise that makes it worth going to see. Can't figure why this film received bad reviews, but it's a must-see for action fans. Check it out in Dolby or IMAX theaters for the sound. Made - $171M- U.S./ foreign- $311M- (budget- $180M)- **** and then some.
Wonder - Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of a kid, August Pullman (Jacob Tremblay) with facial differences, who enters the fifth grade at a elementary for the first time. Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Parents must be patient with kids today to avoid meltdowns and hissy fits, because there will be a moment when people are volatile and easily agitated. Just be patient and go with the flow.
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You are in the mood to clean up certain places at home, especially any- thing to do with recycling, garbage, laundry areas and bathrooms. In your attempt to do so, someone might ob- ject or disagree with you.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): This is a fast-mov- ing, chatty, talkative day! However, at some point during today, you might find yourself at loggerheads with some- one. Why even bother? Don’t ruin your day or someone else’s day. Steer clear of conflicts because they are such a drag and they accomplish nothing.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): You might want to use your money in a certain way, or you might even want to improve something or repair it, all of which is a good idea. If you meet with resistance, just play things low key. Let this moment pass and then carry on.
Aries (March 21-April 19): The Moon is still in your sign, making you feisty! Avoid power struggles with authority figures. An angry standoff is not the best way to achieve your objective.
Taurus (April 20-May 20): You might feel irked with someone, perhaps about politics, religion or race. However, you feel you cannot speak up, which means you’re doing a slow burn behind the scenes.
Gemini (May 21-June 20): A brief altercation
with a female acquaintance, especially about shared ex- penses or shared property, might flare up today. Don’t get involved. Just let this go because this antagonism will be brief and then gone.
Cancer (June 21-July 22): You might find your- self at odds with a parent or someone in a position of au- thority or perhaps even your boss. Avoid this clash because it will do you no favors.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Steer clear of controversial issues like race, religion and politics because they could stir up a hornet’s nest for you today. You might find your- self at odds with someone and it could get nasty very quickly! You don’t need this. Don’t even go there.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Disputes about insur- ance, shared property or something to do with an inher- itance might flare up today in a quick, nasty way! That’s because people are combative and highly emotional today.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Harmony in your sur- roundings is important to you. (Even though you are a great debater, and many of you are in the legal profes- sion.) Do what you can to maintain harmony today, es- pecially with partners and close friends. Avoid squabbles and outbursts. Yikes!
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): You have an urge to introduce reforms or improvements to whatever you do today. It might be your work or any task that you attempt to do or even something related to your health.
