Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Tampa Alumnae Chapter Hosts World AIDS Day Event
 Zetas To Host Community Christmas
Beta Sigma Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., will have its “3rd Annual Community Christmas with the Zetas.” The event will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 11 a. m. – 3 p. m., at 2605 E. 21st Ave.
Parents are encouraged to bring their children out for arts and crafts, games, food, gifts and lots more fun.
 In recognition of World AIDS Day, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Tampa Alum- nae Chapter, will host a free event, open to the public.
The sorority’s Interna- tional Awareness and In- volvement Program will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at the University Area Community Development Center, 14013 N 22nd Street, Tampa, FL 33613.
Free HIV screenings will be held, 6 to 6:30 p. m., fol- lowed by a program from 6:30 to 8 p. m.
The community event will feature guest speakers: Dr. Monique Brown, USF Re- search HIV & AIDS and Rev. L. C. Lepard, DACCO Sr. Outreach Specialist and In- formation Vendors.

clude a personal testimony and a performance by Black on Black Rhyme. Light re- freshments will be served.
The Tampa Alumnae Chapter has been active in Service, Scholarship, Social Action and Sisterhood in the Tampa Bay Community since 1947.

event will bring awareness, information and involvement to the community. World AIDS Day, an international event, brings people across the globe together in a fight against the spread of HIV, to support those living with the disease and, to commemo- rate those who have lost their lives to this disease.

  Volunteers Needed To Build New East Tampa Playground
The City of Tampa is looking for about 100 volunteers to help build a new playground at the Clarence Fort Freedom Trail, 2705 E. Osborne Ave., Tampa 33610.
The playground is being built by the City of Tampa with the support of KaBoom!, United Healthcare, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and East Tampa CRA.
No special skills or experience is needed to volunteer in areas of registration, food preparation and serving, playground assembly, planting, moving mulch, painting and more.
The building will be done on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, 7:30 a. m. – 3:30 p. m. Breakfast, lunch, music, t-shirts and lots of fun will be provided.
There is still a need for businesses, churches, community groups and families to make a mon- etary donation or food. Anyone able to make a difference is a child’s life in this area, can contact Jason Mackenzie at (813) 781-9383.

Greenridge and Delaney Creek Association monthly meet- ing will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at 7 p. m. The meeting is held the first Tuesday of each month at the Emanuel P. Johnson Community Center, 5858 South 78th Street Tampa, Florida 33619. All concerned residents are in- vited to attend.
