MRS. KATIE BEATRICE MORRIS
Homegoing services for Mrs. Katie Beatrice Morris will be held on Friday, De- cember 30, 2016, 2 p. m. at the Unity AME Church, 1013 West Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Seffner, Florida, Reverend Patricia Mosley will Preside and Twiman Keith Roberts, Sr., Eulogist. Interment will follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gar- dens Cemetery.
Katie Beatrice Morris, age 57, was called home on December 17, 2016, in Tampa. She was born in Sturgis, Kentucky on Sep- tember 10, 1959 to the union of Harry Louis Roberts, Sr. and Ora Mae Shipp-Roberts. Katie gradu- ated from Brandon High School in Hillsborough County, Class of 1977. She was a Supervisor at the Westin Tampa Harbour Is- land Hotel for numerous years. She loved to help peo- ple and cook large meals that would feed everyone.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Arthur Lee Morris; father, Harry Louis Roberts, Sr.; and grandmother, Kathryn Foreman.
She is survived by: her daughter QQuony Roberts; grandson, JayQuan Devon Williams “Duka Bug”; mother, Ora Mae Shipp- Roberts; brothers, Harry Louis Roberts, Jr., Prince Henry Roberts (Vonn), Twiman Keith Roberts, Jr., Larry Leroy Roberts (Betty); nieces, Francina Wright, Becca (Rich), Reba, Jenn; nephews, Harry Louis Roberts, III “Ben Ben”, Twiman Keith Roberts, Jr. “Scooter”, Lawrence; close friends like sisters, Jannie Powell, Patricia “Pat” Holi- day, Ledora “Faye” East and Tracey “Bam” Taylor; friend, Columbus Grubbs and host of other relatives and close friends.
There will be viewing from 5–8 p. m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 with the family present to receive friends from 6–7 p. m. at the Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street Tampa. The cortege will arrange at, 4930 S. 83rd Street, Tampa, FL, 33619. Friends are asked to assemble at the church at approximately 1:45 p. m. Friday for the service.

Mr. Gregory Douglas Jones of Tampa passed away Monday, December 26, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, December 30, 11 a. m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, with Reverend Gre- gory V. Gay, Sr., Pastor of Mt. Olive AME Church, offi- ciating. Interment will fol- low in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Gregory D. Jones was a native and lifelong resi- dent of Tampa and was a graduate of Chamberlain High School.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Otcie Jones; and sister, Mildred Forte’.

Mrs. Bessie R. Murray of Tampa passed away Sun- day, December 25, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, De- cember 31, 2016, 11 a. m. at The New Mount Zion Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Columbus Drive, with Reverend Larry Roundtree, II, Pastor, offi- ciating. Interment will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Rest Haven Memo- rial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Murray was a native of Quincy, Florida and a resident of Tampa for many years. She was a graduate of Middleton High School and furthered her educa- tion with Florida A & M University. Mrs. Murray re- tired after 32 years as a Sur- gery Technician from St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was a faithful member of The New Mount Zion M. B. Church where she served with the Voices of Praise Choir and the Golden Gems.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Curtis “Skipper” and Mae Sams; her hus- band, Jim “The Angel” Murray.
