Bus Driver Hurt After Object Strikes
Windshield
A Hillsborough Area Re- gional Transit employee was injured after an unidentified object struck the windshield of the bus she was driving. The incident took place as she passed the traffic light at N. 22nd Street and E. Hillsbor- ough Avenue.
The driver, identified as Ms. Gretta Wright, was in- jured by pieces of flying glass from the windshield.
Tampa Police responded to the area and reviewed the security cameras on the bus. They were unable to deter- mine what struck the wind- shield. However, they believe it may have been a rock.
Ms. Wright was treated at a local hospital for her in- juries.
