Tom Brady Cracks A Joke
Saints’ Drew Brees Says Reaction To US Flag Comments Was ‘Crushing’
DREW BREES
New Orleans Saints quar- terback Drew Brees says he will continue to stand for the American flag but respects and supports any form of peaceful demonstration – in- cluding kneeling during the national anthem – by those protesting social injustice and systemic racism.
“I’ll always stand for the flag because of what it means to me and to honor all those who have sacrificed, who have served and died for our coun- try, and all those who have struggled to move this country forward,” Brees said Satur- day in a conference call with media to discuss the onset of training camp.
“I acknowledge and re- spect anyone who chooses to kneel or any other form of peaceful protest to bring at- tention to social injustice and system racism that so many have endured and continue to endure in our country,” Brees continued, adding that he “always will support and advocate for black and brown communities in the fight for social justice”.
The 41-year-old Brees, who is the NFL’s all-time leader in yards passing, com- pletions and touchdowns, is entering his 20th NFL season and 15th with the New Or- leans Saints.
We will see how this plays out on the field considering the majority of the defensive teams are Black.

Bucs QB Tom Brady will be looked upon to help guide the franchise back to the postseason for the first time since 2007. What many peo- ple may tend to forget, though, is that the six-time Super Bowl champion will be 43 years old when the season begins.
While Brady still seems as sharp as a tack, both men- tally and physically, Father Time is undefeated. The Bucs are hoping Brady can stave off the inevitable decline for at least two more years.
The quarterback seem- ingly cracked a joke at his own age (and play style) by posting the image and cap- tion on Instagram.
Remember, some people believe part of the reason Pa-

triots head coach Bill Be- lichick let Brady go was be- cause he wanted a more mobile and athletic quarter- back like we’re seeing in the NFL today with guys like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. Perhaps that’s why the Patriots rolled the dice with Cam Newton.
Time will tell for Brady and his terrible offensive line.
Mike Tyson says he WILL be trying to knock out Roy Jones, Jr. when they step in the ring in Sept. ... claiming his mentality is still "search and destroy."
The issue is, the head of the California State Athletic Commission recently told the media the guys will be going easy on each other and won't be headhunting.
Here's what CSAC execu- tive director Andy Foster told Yahoo Sports -- "This isn’t a situation where they’re going out there to try to take each other’s heads off. They’re just going to be in there moving around the ring and letting fans see these legends."
But, when reporters saw Tyson leaving a training session in L.A. on Saturday, it didn't seem like he got that memo.
"This is search and de- stroy and I’m looking for- ward to recapturing my

glory," a hulking Mike Tyson said.
When we asked specifi- cally if he'll be looking for a knockout, Tyson told us, "If the opportunity comes, I'm always looking for it."
Tyson is 54 and hasn't fought since a 2005 loss to Kevin McBride ... and that concerns boxing legend George Foreman who re- cently told TMZ Sports he's worried someone might get seriously hurt.
  Opting Out Of Season
Detroit Lions wide re- ceiver and former Spoto High School star Geronimo Allison has decided to opt out of the 2020 season.
Allison signed with De- troit in the offseason from Green Bay, where he had 89 catches for 1,045 yards and six touchdowns from 2016 to 2019.
The Lions signed Alli- son, 26, to provide depth be- hind outside receivers Kenny Golladay and Mar- vin Jones. Detroit gave him a one-year, $910,000 deal with a $137,500 signing bonus when he signed.
Allison would have had to compete for a roster spot with rookie Quintez Ce- phus, Chris Lacy, Travis Fulgham and Geremy Davis, who also signed with the club in the offseason.
Wide receiver is one of the deeper positions for the Lions, with Golladay,

Jones and Danny Amen- dola likely locked in as starters.
Allison is the second De- troit player to opt out this season, joining defensive tackle John Atkins.
The Lions also claimed former Baltimore defensive tackle Daylon Mack off waivers, placed defensive end Romeo Okwara on the non-football injury list and defensive end Austin Bryant on the physically un- able to perform list.
