Police Identify Body Found Near School
KKK Members Sentenced In Plot To Kill Black Ex-Inmate
Detectives with the Tampa Police Department have identified the body found near a school Tuesday. Police have determined that the woman was from out of town.
According to police, the case is being investigated as a homicide. The victim has been identified as 35-year- old Diana B. Medina. Ms. Medina was a Kissimmee resident.
The discovery was made near Just Elementary School

at approximately 1:45 p. m. A passerby discovered the body of an adult female near the southeast corner of W. Spruce Street and N. Oregon Avenue. The victim had a unique tattoo on her ab- domen depicting a sun with the words, “The world is mine.” She also had a tattoo of a cross on her right arm.
The investigation into the death is continuing and po- lice are asking anyone with information to call (813) 231- 6130.
Man Arrested After Police Interrupts Sexual Attack

A St. Petersburg Police Sergeant on routine patrol is credited with interrupting a sexual attack in progress. The incident took place around 10 p.m., Tuesday.
According to police, 26- year-old Traymonte Snipes, of Tampa, was ar- rested in the 500 block of 16th Street, North. He was charged with sexual battery with a deadly weapon and kidnap- ping.
THOMAS JORDAN DRIVER ... Sentenced to 4 years
A federal judge sentenced two members of the Tradi- tionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan to 12 years in prison. A third man was sentenced earlier this year.
Judge Wesley R. Dou- glas handed down the sen- tence to David Elliot Moran, 49, of Lake Butler, and 45-year-old Charles Thomas Newcomb, of Keystone Heights. They were convicted of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder.
Thomas Jordan Driver, 27, of Lake City, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit mur- der in March of this year. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison.
The three men were ar- rested in 2015 at the conclu- sion of an investigation by members of the North Florida Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Teacher Arrested After Firing Gun During Argument
A 51-year-old educator was arrested Sunday afternoon. She was charged with two counts of discharging a weapon from a vehicle.
According to Tampa Police, Ms. Melody Bing, of Tampa, became engaged in an argu- ment with her boyfriend while in the 400 block of W. Colum- bus Drive. Witnesses told po- lice that Ms. Bing fired 2 or 3 shots at the ground as she drove away.
When police arrived at the scene, Ms. Bing had left. Offi- cers went to her residence in the 300 block of W. Amelia Avenue, and made contact with her.

Detention Deputy Charged With Touching Child
A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Detention Deputy has been arrested and charged with lewd and lasciv- ious behavior. He is accused of inappropriately touching a child 11 years ago.
According to police, the in- cident took place in 2006 and the victim was 6 or 7 years old. Adam Camara, 39, lived with the victim and the witnesses at the time.
Camara is accused of en- tering the bedroom where the child was sleeping and touch- ing the victim’s buttock. Po- lice learned of the incident and Camara is said to have made incriminating state-

A 26-year-old woman died after being hit by a truck Tuesday evening. The acci- dent took place at the inter- section of E. Hillsborough Avenue and N. Nebraska Av- enue.
According to the Tampa Police Department, Ms. Sara Jean Hufford, of Tampa, was attempting to cross Nebraska Avenue, just south of Hillsborough Av- enue. She was struck by a truck driven by 50-year-old

Witnesses told police that
at approximately 4:15 p.m., Ms. Hufford was crossing Nebraska Avenue from the west side of the street and the truck was making a right turn. She reportedly walked into the side of the truck.
Ms. Hufford was trans- ported to a local hospital, where she later died. Davis was not charged in the acci- dent, police said.
