Jada Smith Not Happy About Golden Globe Snub Of Her Friend, Tiffany Haddish
Michael Che To Become First Black To Become Head Writer At ‘Saturday Night Live’
Regina Hall will play Jessie T. Usher’s (Survivor’s Remorse) mom and former love interest of his daddy Shaft played by Samuel L. Jackson in ‘Shaft’ remake.
Jada Pinkett Smith is not pleased at all with the Golden Globes. Well, she might have to stand in line be- hind a lot of folks with the same problem.
In any event, the issue here is that her bud, Tiffany Had- dish, was snubbed by the or- ganization for her breakout role in “Girls Trip” and took to Twitter to let the world know it, without going off.
“I have so much to say on why @TiffanyHaddish was

not nominated for a Globe... but I won't .”
The good news for Tiffany is that the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ award from the New York Film Critic’s Circle re- cently, which usually serves as an indicator of what to expect once awards season ramps up.
And on top of that, it was just earlier today that we re- ported that she and actor Laurence Fishburne have been awarded best supporting actor nods by the African American Film Critic Associa- tion (AAFCA).
Everybody’s favorite ac- tress, Regina Hall has been added to the cast of the up- coming Shaft remake.
According to Variety, she will be a former love interest of Samuel L. Jackson's John Shaft and the mother of Jessie T. Usher's younger Shaft.
She also joins Richard Roundtree, who is repris- ing his role as the original Shaft, and Alexandra Shipp who is the love interest of Usher's Shaft.
The film "follows Usher, a nerdy FBI agent who, after
his friend dies under suspi- cious circumstances, launches his own investiga- tion, reluctantly enlisting help from his estranged fa- ther — the legendary, stuck- in-the-’80s-but-still-cool John Shaft."
It is a part of a ground- breaking Netflix deal, with the streaming giant paying "more than half the film’s high $30 million budget, in exchange for international rights and the ability to put the film on its streaming out- side the U.S. two weeks after New Line releases theatri- cally in the United States.”
Michael Che just made history.
