What You Think Is Happening, Is Happening
ears ago, when I first
watched the movie Ti- tanic, what struck me the most about the catastrophe was how the house band con- tinued to play even while the ship was steadily sinking. It was as if the musicians be- lieved that their upbeat music would, somehow, dis- tract the passengers from the grim reality of their circum- stances.
Lately, I've been thinking a lot about that tragic episode. Everytime I hear about abnormal weather events or geological occur- rences wreaking havoc some- where on this planet, I can't help but wonder if we're also stuck on a ship that no one wants us to know is slowly going down as well?
Of course, a person would
have to be in complete denial to not realize something weird is transpiring. With flood waters constantly over- running the Midwest, scorch- ing hot temperatures in places that are typically mild and now massive earth- quakes striking back-to- back, it doesn't seem to be a question of whether or not we're in serious trouble, but how much worse things will become?
What is really peculiar to me is that, even with every- thing we're witnessing show- ing us that something isn't quite right, we're constantly being led to believe that there's nothing to worry about. Instead of leveling with us about what's happen- ing to the world in which we live, those at the top of the
power structure appear more inclined to keep us in the dark. Their mindset seeming to be, "The less they know, the better."
They want us focused on such frivolities as social media, sports and entertain- ment while ignoring the fact that our environment is in peril. The thing is, though, it's hard not to recognize the obvious. And, with hurricane season still waiting for its turn in the spotlight, it's scary to even imagine what further calamities may be in store.
With all of the signs we're being shown I think it may be much wiser for us to trust our own instincts over the "noth- ing to see here" misdirection play currently being used against us.
Like the band on the Ti- tanic, they want to use their soft music to rock us to sleep. They just don't know that what they’re playing isn't loud enough to drown out our common sense.

The Little General And The Fourth Of July
ho doesn’t love a parade? Marching set to life
by none other than a Marine Marching Band playing John Philip Sousa’s melodies while flags wave, and overhead, streak some of America’s finest war- planes in “Blue Angel” formation.
On the streets, ten ton army tanks rumble down the asphalt, as well-shod troops do hip-hop cadence, strolling past the adoring-eyed and raucous cheers of excited onlookers. As we said previously, “who doesn’t love a parade, especially like a parade on the Fourth of July?”
In this most recent example, such a question is ac- companied by another question: “Should the growl of army tanks, the marching of full-clad soldiers, the whine of fighter jets, and the rhetoric of a president who doesn’t know when he should stop campaigning overshadow the gleam of America’s finest hour, the liberation of our nation?”
You know the answer.
Nevertheless, few complained as America’s answer to the Wizard of Oz took one more time to blow his own political horn. Like a rooster, he crowed, sound- ing more and more like a scripted Hollywood movie dictator.
And the children loved it. Did you see the sparkle in their eyes while Republicans sat deaf, dumb, and blind, and Russians laughed all the way to the Krem-
lin?No doubt, America is in trouble, and it doesn’t take a 4th of July parade down the streets of D. C., to tell us so. What it does need, however, is a stiff alarm clock, as the great carnival huckster continues moving our nation toward a flag-waving dictatorship.
Choose To Be Powerful Not Powerless
“He who controls oth- ers may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.”

ings. Everyday you wake up in the land of the living; you have a choice... you can choose to have a powerful or powerless day.
No matter what, the choice is yours. I would like to encourage you to stop sleepwalking through life and make today and every- day a powerful one.
You have the ability within you to exert extenuat- ing force that will allow you to overcome the strongest re- sistance. You are a potent in- dividual. You are mighty beyond measure. You have a very acute and keen insight
about how things work. Using what you know will be paramount to creating a powerful day.
Your proficiency coupled with tenacity and fortitude will allow you to accomplish great things in life. Not only will you have a powerful day but a powerful and successful life. The choice is yours.
However, if you choose to live a powerless life, you will be ineffective, inept and un- able to perform. You will be defeated in your mind and defeated in life. Powerless people are destitute, inca- pable and paralyzed by life circumstances. You cannot let this be you. You must slap yourself back into reality and grab hold to the power you possess down on the inside of you.
I am speaking to you from the depths of my soul. You
have the power. Recognize it. Use it. Hold on to it. The choice is yours. Now go have a powerful day.
