Detectives with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice are investigating a fatal shooting. The incident took place in the 100 block of Sycamore Lane last Saturday.
According to police, deputies received a call about a man on the ground shortly after 1 p.m., Sunday. When deputies arrived in the 100 block of Sycamore Lane, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The uniden- tified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
As the investigation took place, deputies learned from neighbors that they had heard what they believed were fireworks between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday. No one contacted police.

Two Linked To Fatal Shooting Being Sought
15-Year-Old Injured By Gunfire; 10-Year-Old Hurt
Two juveniles were injured during a shooting at the Spicer Place Apartment Complex.
Police have made an ar- rest in a deadly shooting that took place on April 20. The man accused of committing the crime is being held at the Pinellas County Jail.
According to the St. Pe- tersburg Police Department, officers responded to the parking lot of the Pure Gas Station, 13o1 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Street, South, at 1:30 a.m., in refer- ence to shots being fired.
Shortly after arriving, po- lice learned that victims had begun arriving at local hospi- tals with gunshot wounds.
The victim has been iden- tified as 28-year-old Resnick Hampton, Jr., of St. Petersburg. The investiga- tion led police to 28-year-old Tyree Bingham as the gun- man in the case.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that took place in the 100 block of Sycamore Lane.
Police are investigating a shooting that left a 15-year- old injured by gunfire and a 10-year-old injured by shrap- nel. The shooting took place shortly after 4 p.m., last Thursday.
Deputies with the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice arrived in the Spicer Place Apartments four minutes after receiving a call of shots being fired.
When they arrived, they discovered that a 15-year-old male teenager had been shot in the lower body. A 10-year- old girl had also been injured by shrapnel. Both were trans- ported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The two victims are not re- lated, police said.
The 15-year-old victim was standing on the second-floor balcony when he was struck by gunfire. The 10-year-old girl was standing nearby.
During the investigation, detectives learned that the suspect and the 15-year-old victim had been communicat- ing via social media. The sus- pect reportedly rode his bicycle to the apartment com- plex and became engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim.
The suspect is alleged to have produced a handgun and fired several shots from out- side one of the apartment units.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 15-years-old and between 5’11” and 6’ tall. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a gray sweatshirt and a face covering.
