Sales Tax Holiday
School Sales Tax Holiday Extended To 10 Days
The 2021 Back-To-School Tax Holiday begins this week- end. It will span a 10-day pe- riod, beginning at 12:01 a.m., on Saturday, July 31st and end- ing on Monday, August 9th.
The Sales Tax Holiday al- lows the purchase of qualify- ing back-to-school supplies exempt from tax during the 2021 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday. It is not limited to
students, parents can pur- chase items for the whole fam- ily as long as they fall within the pricing guidelines.
The Florida Legislature passed the bill and it was and it signed into law by Gov. Ron DeSantis.
The items that qualify in- clude:
School supplies costing $15 or less; Clothing, shoes, and accessories that cost less than $60; and the first $1,000 of the sale price on computers and accessories when pur- chased for non-commercial and personal use.
