Jupiter’s New Waterfront Restaurant
Former NBA superstar Michael Jordan is one of 13 owners in a 325-seat restau- rant on the Loxahatchee River expected to open by the end of 2017.
“It’s going to be five-star service and food. The atmos- phere will be warm and wel- coming,” said Ira Fenton, one of the other dozen in- vestors that include former New York Giants running back Tucker Frederickson. Jor- dan has a home in the Bear’s Club, a private community in Jupiter.
The 18,000-square-foot restaurant, off U.S. 1 just north of Burt Reynolds Park,
will have about 75 outdoor seats — including an outside bar — and overlook the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. A dock and boat slips are planned.
The town council Tuesday night voted 4-1, with Council- man Jim Kuretski dissent- ing, to grant a 12-month development extension to build the restaurant.
“Like Harbourside Place, we might not be able to man- age the noise. I’m afraid that outside bar could get stand- ing-room only and get out of control,” said Kuretski.
The restaurant will be called 1000 North, said Fenton.

PotentialCavs-HeatMatchup Already On LeBron James' Mind
Floyd Mayweather
might be thinking harder about coming out of retire- ment than he is letting on.
Mayweather said that while he's happy to be retired, he has "been talking with CBS and Showtime" about a po- tential return, "and you never know." He said he was dis- cussing guarantees that would top $100 million if he re- turned.
Mayweather Productions filed for trademarks to "TMT 50" and "TBE 50" on April 21. Records recently posted on the U.S. Patent and Trade-

"TMT" stands for "The Money Team" and "TBE" stands for "The Best Ever." If Mayweather fights again, it would be fight No. 50 of his career.
The Cavs lead the Atlanta Hawks 1-0 in their East semifi- nals series and Miami is up 1-0 on the Toronto Raptors. Game 2 between the Cavs and Hawks is Wednesday night.
"Naturally, of course," Le- Bron James said following Cavs shootaround Wednesday morning, when asked about the chance to play the Heat. "That's since I've came back. It'd be great to play against those guys in the postseason.
"Throughout my whole ca- reer, I've always wanted to go against [Dwyane] Wade in a playoff series. We've always talked about it even before we became teammates in '10. "It's not been heavy on my mind,

but it's crossed my mind throughout my whole career." James, drafted No. 1, and Wade, drafted No. 5, entered the league as rookies together in 2003 and teamed up in Miami from 2010-14, making four straight trips to the Finals and winning two champi- onships in that span.
NBA Lists Five Incorrect Non-Calls In Final Seconds Of OKC-Spurs Thriller
The NBA listed five incor- rect non-calls from the final 13.5 seconds of Monday's game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.
Spurs guard Manu Gino- bili should have been whistled for delay of game for stepping on the sideline as he was at- tempting to defend the game's final inbounds play, and Thun- der guard Dion Waiters should have been called for an offensive foul for crossing the out-of-bounds plane and hit- ting Ginobili with his elbow as he inbounded the ball, the league said Tuesday in its last- two-minutes report.
After the ball was in- bounded by Waiters, fouls should have been called on the Spurs' Patty Mills and Kawhi Leonard. The league said that Mills grabbed and
held Thunder center Steven Adams, and that Leonard grabbed Russell West- brook's jersey.
Finally, after the Spurs stole the inbounds pass and made a final effort to hit a winning shot, a shooting foul should have been called on Thunder forward Serge Ibaka for grabbing and holding the jer- sey of LaMarcus Aldridge with 2.6 seconds left.
Lead referee Ken Mauer acknowledged the missed of- fensive foul by Waiters after the game.
