Ed Narain Receives Leadership Award From Tampa Bay Chamber
Ed Narain receives Prestigious honor
On Thursday, December 10th, 2020 former State Representative Edwin “Ed” Narain was awarded the H. L. Culbreath, Jr. Profile in Leadership Award from the Tampa Bay Chamber. The award is the Tampa Bay re- gion’s most prestigious honor.
The award was created in 1997 to annually recognize an individual whose leader- ship has made a positive im- pact on the greater Tampa community. Narain was recognized for serving as a catalyst for cooperation be- tween business, leaders, the community and government.
Narain served in the Florida House of Represen- tatives in District 61 from
2014 to 2016 and uses his ex- perience in government to build relationships and en- sure prosperity within the community.
He co-created the Satur- day-To-Go program to aid small businesses struggling through the COVID-19 pan- demic and serves as the chairman of both the Chil- dren’s Board of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Charter Review Board among his many com- munity activities.

sented by the 2019 winner, Tampa International Airport CEO, Joe Lapano.
Narain has supported several non profits and or- ganizations in the commu- nity through his work as Vice President of External and Legislative Affairs with AT&T. He is married to Monica, a public school teacher and has two daugh- ters. Earlier this year, Mon- ica was also recognized by the Greater Tampa Chapter of Jack and Jill for her work as community service chair.

Solid Waste Revises Schedule For Christmas
In observance of Christ- mas Day, the City of Tampa offices will be closed Thurs- day, December 24th and Fri- day, December 25th. The holiday will also affect the solid waste services for those days.
There will be no solid waste service on Friday. Cus- tomers who normally have Friday pickup will be serv- iced on Saturday.
