Chance The Rapper Challenging Where Obama Presidential Center Will Be Located
Donald Trump praised the new NFL policy that bans kneeling during the national anthem.
The policy forbids players from sitting or taking a knee on the field during the an- them but allows them to stay in the locker room. Any viola- tions would result in fines against teams.
President Donald Trump has repeatedly called on the NFL to punish players who kneel on the field in protest of racial inequality and police violence.
Now, in the wake of the NFL’s new policy that all play- ers must “stand and show re- spect” during the national anthem, Trump has sug- gested that players who kneel
don’t belong in the US.
“You have to stand proudly for the national anthem or you shouldn’t be playing, you shouldn’t be there. Maybe you shouldn’t be in the country,” Trump said in an interview with Fox & Friends that aired
on last Thursday.
“The NFL owners did the
right thing,” he added.
On last Wednesday, the
NFL and the owners of its 32 teams announced a new pol- icy: Players will no longer be required to be on the field during the anthem and may stay in the locker room during that time if they choose. But those who do go out to the field and don’t stand during the anthem could face a penalty.
Chance the Rapper's bromance with President Obama could be cooling off.
Chance, who visited the White House multiple times during Obama's presidency, has a problem with the up- coming Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
Local residents have been contesting the location of the Obama Presidential Center, which is accused of promoting gentrification in a local neigh- borhood.
Last night, Chance criti- cized the Obama Presiden-

tial Center.
“If there’s no Community
Benefits Agreement,” Chance said. “If City Council won’t hear the residents of Woodlawn and Southshore, it ruins the legacy and puts folk at risk.”
The rap star claims that city council failed to get local citizens input before they ap- proved plans for the center.
The lack of support is a 180-degree turn for the rap- per, who curated the Obama Foundation Summit's kickoff event last year.
Pres. Trump Pardons Boxer Jack Johnson
Research: Twitter Bots Help Trump Win Election
After talking about it back in April, President Donald Trump has posthumously granted a pardon for boxing’s first black heavyweight cham- pion.
Trump’s action comes more than 100 years after the late Jack Johnson was con- victed by all-white jury of ac- companying a white woman across state lines.
Trump had said he was considering a pardon in April, when he announced on Twit- ter that the actor and boxing enthusiast Sylvester Stal- lone, a friend of his, had called to bring Johnson’s story to his attention.

According to new research, Twitter bots could have swayed the presidential elec- tion enough to account for Donald Trump’s margin of victory.
The power of social media played a role with the auto- mated tweeting potentially pushing Trump’s win, ac- cording to a working paper released by the nonprofit Na- tional Bureau of Economic Research.
The research suggests that bots touting Trump or at- tacking rival Hillary Clin- ton could have accounted for 3.23 percentage points of the vote for president, putting Trump over the top.
Clinton won the popular
vote, and a small added mar- gin in critical districts could have put her over the top in some states and affected the Electoral College total.
