Chamberlain Students Arrested
Gillette Thief Runs With $1,000 In Razors
This man is suspected of stealing $1,000 worth of ra- zors from a CVS Store.
Last Wednesday, Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s deputies were hunting a man known as a “well groomed thief,” who stole $1,000 in Gillette razors from a CVS Drug Store.
Deputies said the man came into the CVS at 6701 Dale Mabry with a backpack at 12:47 p.m. He made his way to the toiletry aisle and put $974 worth of razors in his bag.
The Gillette thief is de- scribed as a white Hispanic male with short dark hair and a beard.
One Student Wounded, Another Arrested In Stabbing At Wharton
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Thursday a student used a steak knife to stab a classmate at Wharton High School.
The incident sent the in- jured student to a local hospi- tal, and the student who was armed with the knife was ar- rested.
Deputies said the incident occurred at 2 p. m. The stu- dents, two males ages 14 and 15, began to argue before a fight broke out. During the fight, deputies said Angel DelMonte, 15, pulled a steak knife and stabbed the 14-year- old several times. He then al- legedly dumped the knife in a trash can in a nearby boys bathroom, deputies said.
Deputies arrested Del- Monte, and he was trans- ported to the Juvenile Assessment Center on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and possession of a weapon on school grounds.
Authorities have not deter- mined if DelMonte will be charged as an adult. The 14- year-old victim did not suffer life-threatening wounds.
Spilled Drink Laced With Drugs Led To Fatal Shooting
After Unloaded Gun, Ammo Found
On Friday, two Chamber- lain High School students were arrested after Tampa Po- lice found an unloaded gun and ammunition in one of the student’s backpacks.
Police were called to the school after officials received a tip that a student had a gun. Officers found Raeqwon McDonald, a 19-year-old senior and located the un- loaded gun and ammunition in his bag.
Police also learned that an- other student, a 15-year-old freshman, brought the gun to

sell to another student. McDonald and the other student were arrested and charged with possession of a firearm on school campus and disruption of a school func-
tion.
Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s Office detectives said an argument over a spilled drink laced with drugs led to a fatal shooting last Sunday.
An arrest report outlines the events that led up to the moment Hykeem Clifford, 25, allegedly shot and killed Angel Manuel Hernan- dez, 21, just after 3 a. m. at the Park at Ravena Apart- ments.
Last Tuesday, May 3rd, Clifford was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
Deputies said Clifford and another man were with Hernandez early Sunday, when they bought alcohol at a liquor store before return- ing to the complex where Clifford lives. As they drove, Hernandez fell asleep in the passenger seat.
Detectives said after they parked, Clifford, carrying a container full of liquor that had been laced with the anti- anxiety drug Xanax and MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, walked to the open passenger window to wake Hernandez.

face and Hernandez laughed at him.
A witness told detectives that Hernandez opened the door, hitting Clifford’s knee that had recently undergone surgery. The report says Clif- ford reached into the back of his pants and pulled out a pink and black 9mm Ruger pistol.
The gun went off, striking Hernandez in the chest. Clifford and the witness ran to a nearby apartment where they told others what had happened.
Clifford told the others to change clothes, grab an Xbox and get ready to leave.
After Clifford’s question- ing, he was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a con- cealed firearm. He bail is set at $177,000.
Clearwater Police are ask- ing for help in identifying an armed robbery suspect.
On April 7th, Clearwater Po- lice said two armed men en- tered Boost Mobile, 1905 Drew Street, just before noon and tied up an employee with
duct tape. They then left the store with cash.
One suspect is described as a Black male in is 30s, 6’3” tall with a short flat haircut, wide mustache and three teardrop tattoos under his left eye.
Suspects Sought In Publix Robbery
Last Wednesday, May 4th at 10:14 p. m., Plant City po- lice reported that two un- known men, armed with handguns and wearing stock- ing masks, and gloves, forced open the front doors to the Publix at 2015 Thonotosassa Road in Plant City.
Inside the store, police said one of the armed men held the employees hostage while the other armed man forced another employee into the money vault. The suspects
grabbed cash and fled in what was described as a dark col- ored van, possibly a later model Honda Odyssey.
The suspects are believed to be Black males, one about 6 feet tall and last seen wear- ing a leopard hoodie with a red logo on the left sleeve, colored pants and a ball cap with a red bill.
The second man is 6’2” tall and was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie and light colored pants.
Deputy Involved Shooting Leaves 37-Year-Old Man Dead
A Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy fa- tally shot a man armed with an as- sault rifle during an auto theft investiga- tion Saturday.
Alton Fitzger- ald Witchard, 37, was identified as the man who was shot andkilled.Asecond man, Cory Williams, 31, was also arrested.

Witchard and Williams were spotted at 3:10 a. m. at 22nd Avenue, South and 16th Street by a joint task force as they drove a van recklessly at high speed, occasionally going up on two wheels.
The van stopped at the Obama Food Market on 18th Avenue, South, but officials did not approach because of heavy foot traffic.
When police tried stopping the van later the driver, Williams, reportedly sped up and reversed, ramming an unmarked police vehicle. The van also crashed into another police cruiser.
Police said Witchard and the passenger got out of the vehicle near 22nd Street and 21st Avenue, South with an
AR-15 assault rifle and was chased by a deputy who re- peated yelled at Witchard to drop his gun.
At some point, police said Witchard turned and threatened a deputy with the rifle. The rifle was loaded with 17, .223-caliber rounds and the switch was in the fire position.
The deputy fired five times, hitting Witchard twice in the torso and grazing his hand. Deputies performed CPR on Witchard who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Williams was charged with aggravated battery, felony fleeing and eluding, and driving with a suspended license.
