Crime Hit And Run Driver Injures
Detectives Charge Man In Double Homicide
    4-Year-Old Child
Detectives have arrested a 25-year-old man in connec- tion with a double murder. The crime took place nearly a year ago.
According to police, offi- cers responded to a report of shots being fired on N. 10th Street, 9:30 p.m. When they arrived at the scene, they found 41-year-old Marcus Bowden, and Ms. Al- bertlean East, 26, inside the home at 9508 North 10th Street. Both were suffering from gunshot wounds.
Bowden was pro- nounced dead at the scene. Ms. East was transported to a local hospital, where she later died as a result of her injuries.

   Police are searching for a blue pickup truck in connec- tion with an accident that took place last Thursday. A 4- year-old child was left injured by the hit and run driver.
According to police, Joseph Soto was allowed to get off the school bus at the wrong stop. He was then hit by someone driving a blue, Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck. The truck slammed into the child as he crossed Flora Av- enue in Holiday, Florida and fled the scene.
Soto was flown to Tampa General Hospital, where he underwent surgery Friday

        Two men died in a traffic accident Friday night. The ac- cident took place at the inter- section of N. 15th Street and E. 21st Avenue.
According to the Tampa Police Department, at ap- proximately 8:35 p.m., Fri- day, a Ford F-150 pickup truck drove south in the wrong direction on N. 15th Street from Lake Avenue, traveling at a high rate of speed. The truck struck sev- eral other vehicles without stopping. The driver then struck two cars parked on the west side of N. 15th Street, po- lice said.
The truck then rolled over onto its side and into the in- tersection of 21st Avenue and N. 15th Street. It continued on
and struck a Cadillac that was making a legal left turn onto N. 15th Street. The truck fi- nally came to rest on its roof, police said.
Tampa Police and Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the scene of the accident. Tampa Fire Rescue used cutting equipment to extricate the driver and passenger from the vehicle.
Both occupants were pro- nounced dead at the scene. They have identified the driver as 47-year-old Roberto Ramirez Diaz and Alejandro Ocampo, 62, both of Tampa.
The investigation is con- tinuing and police suspect al- cohol is a factor in the accident.
Detectives with the Plant City Police Department have arrested four people and charged them with several crimes. They are accused of luring men to a home and then robbing them.
According to police, there are several related incidents, where Hispanic men were lured to a residence within the 900 block of West Risk Street, via social media, under the guise of socializing with an attractive female.
The victims were held against their will and told if they did not cooperate with the suspects, their families would be harmed. The victims were then trans- ported by the subjects in the victims’ vehicles throughout Plant City, where they were forced to remove money from their bank accounts via ATM
machines.
So far, five suspects have
been identified and four of them have been arrested.
Thomas Nolasco, a.k.a. “Chino,” 23, was charged with 1 count of kidnapping; 1 count of rob- bery; 2 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm; and 1 count of battery.
Joshua Rodriguez a.k.a. “Dolo,” 21, was charged with 1 count of kidnapping; 1 count of rob- bery; 2 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm; and 1 count of battery.

principal to commit kidnap- ping, robbery and battery. Melissa Long, 28, was arrested and charged as a principal to commit kidnap- ping, robbery and battery. An active warrant has been issued for James T. Smith, 19, who has not been located
by police.
