Three Men Arrested In Stand-Off At McDonald’s
Man Charged With Second-Degree Murder

Three men from Orlando officials said are responsible for a carjacking in Hillsbor- ough County and a stand-off at McDonald’s Restaurant on Countyline Road and Frontage Road, South in Lakeland appeared before a judge Sunday morning.
Authorities said Justin Crumpton, 18, Eugene Willis, 22, and Sedrick Hamilton, 23, are all facing several charges, including armed robbery and kidnap- ping.
According to reports, the three men were armed when they carjacked a vehicle in Brandon at 7:30 a. m. Satur- day.
Law enforcement officials spotted the car a short time later on I-4 near County Line Road. The car crashed in front of a McDonald’s and the men ran toward the restau- rant, tried to carjack another driver who pulled a gun on them, and then they jumped through the drive-thru win- dow and held two employees against their will.

calling his mother and girl- friend to tell them he had messed up and was going to jail.
Later, he allowed the two employees to leave through the window and surrendered after they left.
After the incident, law en- forcement officials said they started getting reports on so- cial media from Edward Potter who alleged he was a hostage inside the McDon- ald’s. This caused officials to use a robot to search the restaurant, and they later dis- covered Potter had been lying. He was charged with giving a false statement to law enforcement during an inves- tigation.
Law enforcement officers used a flashbang device to get the other two men out of the McDonald’s.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on September 22nd at 7:24 p. m., Thomas Elmore, Jr., 43, contacted law enforcement through his attorney and re- ported he had found his live-in girlfriend, Tamara Naish, dead from a gunshot wound.
The couple shared a home at 9413 Star Gazer Lane, in Riverview.
Through his attorney, El- more reportedly said he had found his girlfriend 2-hours earlier, but was upset and did not know what to do until his attorney advised him that law enforcement needed to be no- tified.
When law enforcement per- sonnel arrived, they had been told they were investigating a suicide. Deputies confirmed there was a dead woman in- side the home.
After getting a search war- rant, detectives were able to go through the residence.
Help Needed In Identifying Money Bag Thief
This man is suspected of snatching a moneybag from an armored car messenger.
Tampa Police detectives re- port that on September 21st at 12:25 p.m., a Black male snatched a money bag from an armored car messenger as he serviced an ATM inside a WaWa Store, 1760 Hillsbor- ough Avenue.
Police said the suspect en- gaged in a confrontation with the victim before fleeing into a neighborhood behind the store where he was seen get- ting into a gray vehicle.
The suspect has been de- scribed as a Black male 5’10” tall with a skinny build and was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark blue pants, white rubber work boots a surgical mask and sunglasses. A witness reported the suspect also had shoulder length dreadlocks.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for in- formation that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in this case. Anyone with any information regard the identity of the sus- pect and who wants to be eli- gible for a cash reward, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.

The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner’s Office re- sponded to examine the vic- tim, and reported she had been dead for at least 36 hours.
During the crime scene in- vestigation, it was determined Naish’s body appeared to have been moved and manip- ulated. Evidence located at the home was inconsistent with a suicide.
On September 24th, El- more told detectives after he returned home at 1 a. m., on
September 21st from Hooters, he and Naish got in an argu- ment over her recent job loss and money issues. Elmore al- legedly said Naish kicked his dog during the argument, and he decided to leave and take his dog to the home of his par- ents in Seffner.
Elmore said when he re- turned at 3:15 a. m., he un- locked the door and entered. When he went into the master bedroom, he said the door was closed and he had to push it open and that’s when he saw Naish lying on her back with one of his guns in her left hand. Elmore said he checked her pulse and she was dead. He also allegedly told deputies he did not know what to do and did not call 9-1-1.
After the Medical Examiner determined Naish’s wounds were not self-inflicted, El- more was arrested and charged with second-degree murder with a firearm.
Eyeglass Thieves Sought
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is asking the public to keep an eye out for three men wanted in the theft of $7,000 worth of eyeglasses.
Detectives said the offense occurred just before midnight on October 3rd when three peo- ple backed up in a newer model white Dodge van out- side the front door of Patter- son Eye Center, 2917 Kennedy Boulevard.
After the van was in place, police said the three suspects forced their way inside the business.

Dresses Stolen During Burglary Of Business
Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s deputies are asking for help in locating a man sus- pected of stealing $150 in dresses from a store last Wednesday morning.
Deputies said a man forced his way into JJ Fashion Dis- count, 10069 West Hillsbor- ough Avenue, at 4:15 a. m., through a glass window panel and removed several dresses from the store.
Deputies said the man may have injured himself on bro- ken glass as he left the shop, and was last seen walking south through the parking lot before possibly leaving in a ve- hicle.

The suspect is described as having short dark hair with a short dark beard, a tattoo on his upper bicep and stands 5’8” tall.
