Man Faces First-Degree Murder Charge
In Witness’ Death
Grant Writing Workshops Planned For October

Last Wednesday, Tampa Police Department detectives made an arrest in connection with a murder that took place in July. The man was already in jail on other charges when he was notified of the new charges.
Antwoine Noland, 44, was charged with the murder of Ms. Alica Lee Fussell, 43, of Tampa. According to po- lice, Ms. Fussell was slated to testify against Noland in a criminal case, in which she was the victim of a shooting, but she recovered.
On July 19th, Ms. Fussell was in front of the City Liquors, 9403 N. Nebraska Avenue, when she was fatally wounded. At the time of her death, Noland was listed as a person of interest.

ure to appear in court on sev- eral charges, including aggra- vated assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a concealed firearm, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
A week after Ms. Fussell was killed, Noland was ar- rested at the Tampa Stadium Motel, 4750 N. Dale Mabry, after being found at the motel and in the company of 17-year- old Bryana Lemaire.
Lemaire had been re- ported as missing by her fam- ily. Noland was taken into custody on the active war- rants, and he was also charged with unlawful sexual activity with a minor.
In addition to the first-de- gree murder charge, Noland was also accused of tampering with a witness, and retaliation against a witness last Wednes- day.
The Center for Non-Profit and Community Develop- ment, Inc., will host free pro- fessional grant-writing workshops. The workshops will be held on three separate dates during the month of Oc- tober.
The first workshop will take place on Saturday, Octo- ber 15th, at the West Tampa Public Library, 2312 W. Union Street. It will begin at 1 p.m., with a discussion on “How To Start A 501c3 Nonprofit.” Be- ginning at 2 p.m., the group will discuss “How To Prepare AGrantAndHowToDoA Business Plan.” The workshop will end at 3:30 p.m.

Meeting Announced On TBX Project
The proposed Tampa Bay Express (TBX) project being funded by the Florida Depart- ment of Transportation (FDOT) will be felt a lot further than first anticipated.
The East Tampa Community Revitalization Partnership will be hosting a meeting on Tues- day, October 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Ragan Park Community Center, 1200 East Lake Av- enue.
This will be the first of two meetings aimed at sending the
message for the need of every- one to stand together on this proposal.
Organizers said they want to make sure all voices are heard, and would love to see a lot of young people in attendance.
Groups from Tampa Heights and Seminole Heights who have been adamant in their op- position of the project, will be in attendance along with repre- sentatives from FDOT.
The meeting is open to the public.
