Kirk Ray Smith Named New CEO Of Religious Community Services, Inc.
Religious Community Services, Inc. (RCS) an- nounced that its Board of Directors has appointed Kirk Ray Smith, MS, C.PhD as Chief Executive Officer, effective November 28, 2016. He will suc- ceed Caitlin Higgins Joy, who has stepped down after five years to take a yearlong sabbatical trip around the world.
In his new role, Smith will give direction and leadership toward the achievements of RCS’s mission, fundraising goals, and annual and strategic goals and objectives.
Smith has been an executive level operator of non-profit organizations, community centers, and community-based initiatives.
He most recently led operational and financial growth for a premier Area Agency on Aging in Virginia as Executive Vice President of Managed Long Term Services and Support department while providing high-quality services. He has also provided leadership and oversaw long range de- velopment to YMCA organizations in several cities including Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa, and

Smith has also served in the United States
Army for seven years and achieved the rank of Corporal. He holds a Bachelor of Science of Human Services and a Master of Science of Orga- nizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College. He is a Doctoral Candidate (Ph.D.) in Human Services, specializing in Non- Profit Management & Leadership at Capella Uni- versity.
