Stephon Gilmore Tests Positive For Coronavirus
STEPHON GILMORE
Another key New England Patriots player has tested posi- tive for the coronavirus.
All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore tested pos- itive for COVID-19 during Tuesday’s round of testing.
Gilmore is now the third Patriots player to test positive for the coronavirus since last weekend. Cam Newton re- ceived his positive test on Sat- urday morning, which resulted in the Patriots’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs being postponed until Monday.
Head Coach Raheem Morris
Force Of Big Red
To Replace Fired Dan Quinn
Machine, Dies At 77
Given how the Atlanta Fal- cons like to start slow and fin- ish seasons strong, this is a pretty good opportunity for Raheem Morris.
Morris will be the Fal- cons’ interim coach, the team announced. He will replace Dan Quinn, who was fired on Sunday after his team lost its fifth game in a row to start the season.
Morris has been with the Falcons for six seasons, and this is first with the official title of defensive coordinator. He spent three seasons as Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach, and it has been a long time get- ting another shot to lead a team.
Raheem Morris Gets Another Shot
Morris was once a fast- rising star in coaching. He was named Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach when he was 32 years old.
Morris had spent a few years as a college assistant, but
RAHEEM MORRIS
had mostly been a Bucs defen- sive backs coach when he got the head-coaching job in 2009. He went 3-13 his first year but then 10-6 his second season with young quarter- back Josh Freeman having a career season.
In Morris’ third season the Bucs went 4-12 and he was fired. At that point Morris had to practically start over. He eventually ended up with the Falcons, and was coaching receivers and coordinating the passing game when Quinn reshuffled his staff last season. Quinn put Morris in charge of the defense and he led an impressive turnaround. Mor- ris was named defensive coor- dinator for the 2020 season.
Joe Morgan, the Hall of Fame second baseman who became the sparkplug of the 'Big Red Machine' and a beloved on-air commentator for ESPN, has died at 77 after battling a nerve disorder.
He died at his home Sun- day in Danville, California, family spokesman James Davis said in statement Mon- day. Morgan was suffering from a form of polyneuropa- thy, a condition in which skin, muscle, and organ nerves are damaged.
Morgan's death marked the latest among major league greats this year: Whitey Ford, Bob Gibson, Lou Brock, Tom Seaver and Al Kaline.
JOE MORGAN
He was a two-time NL Most Valuable Player, a 10- time All-Star and won five Gold Gloves. A 5-foot-7 dy- namo known for flapping his left elbow at the plate, Little Joe could hit a home run, steal a base and disrupt any game with his daring.
Most of all, he completed Cincinnati's two-time World Series championship team.
Bucs RB Kenjon Barner Suspended For PED Usage
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Kenjon Barner has been suspended four games for a violation of the NFL’s performance-en- hancing drugs policy.
Barner was elevated from the Bucs’ practice squad to play the last two weeks for the team, mostly in a special teams role. He was unlikely to play in Week 5 because he is in

concussion protocol.
James White Shares Positive
Update About Mother’s Condition
New England Patriots run- ning back James White is dealing with an unexpected tragedy after his father died in a car accident last month, but fortunately his mother’s con- dition has been improving.
White’s mother, who was also involved in the accident that killed the 28-year-old’s father, had been in critical condition as of recently.
Following Monday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, White told reporters his mother’s health is trending in the right direction.
“My mom has continued to

improve and progress and get better, so that eases my pain a little bit,” White said. “Being out on the football field eases my mind a little bit, too. I’m just trying to push through. That’s what my dad would want me to do.”
