LeSean McCoy’s Ex-Girlfriend Told Police Star RB ‘Set Her Up’
Jabari Parker To Join Bulls After Bucks Rescind Offer
JABARI PARKER
The Jabari Parker era is over in Milwaukee.
The Chicago Bulls have agreed to a two-year, $40 mil- lion deal with Parker after the Milwaukee Bucks rescinded his qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.
Parker’s tenure in Mil- waukee was ultimately a fail- ure. Once the No. 2 pick, injuries limited him from reaching his full effectiveness, including an ACL tear that kept him out for much of the first half of last season. He’s also had to cope with questions about his attitude.
That said, Parker is a little more than a year removed from a season in which he av- eraged 20 points per game. He now gets to play in his home- town, where the Bulls are bet- ting on his talent.
Magic Johnson Says Josh Hart Could Start For Lakers
JOSH HART
With his strong perform- ance in Summer League, Josh Hart could just be playing himself into a starting spot for the Los Angeles Lakers next season.
Speaking with the media during a conference call on Fri- day, Lakers president of bas- ketball operations Magic Johnson had some high praise for the second-year guard.
The 23-year-old Hart has been showing out through four games in Summer League so far, averaging 22.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He also shot 39.6 per- cent from three as a rookie last season and was named Big East Co-Defensive Player of the Year in college. Those could be exactly the attributes that the Lakers are looking for out of their primary 2-guard.

   BEAUTY UNLIMITED
BEE
The Spotlight feature for this week is the lovely Bee. It’s been a long time since a feature with natural beauty has been spotlighted, and what better choice than this young woman. Bee said she is a very hard worker and she puts 100% effort into every photo shoot. Bee is very comfortable in front of the camera, and has a burning desire to be successful. When it comes to intelligence on the high- est level, you can bet Bee has it and then some. Congratulations to Bee as this week’s Beauty Unlimited feature.
A lot of people were won- dering how strange it is going to look to see LeBron James wearing Los Angeles Lakers colors, and we got our first non-computer gener- ated glimpse of that on Sun- day afternoon.
LeBron attended a Las Vegas Summer League game, and he got a standing ovation from fans when he entered the arena rocking some pur- ple and gold Lakers shorts.
The game happened to in- volve the Cleveland Cava-

liers, and LeBron spent some time chatting with his former head coach, Tyronn Lue.
France Wins Second World Cup Title
France’s first goal arrived off a Croatian’s head, and its second only after the inter- vention of the Argentine ref- eree.
But it was the next two goals, the low, hard shots that delivered the World Cup back into French hands, the goals that crowned its latest gener- ation of stars, that confirmed what everyone knew even be- fore its 4-2 victory over Croa- tia was complete: France was the best team in the field this summer in Russia, a potent mix of greatness, grit and good fortune. And now it can call itself the world champion again.
The title is France’s sec- ond, and its first since it won on home soil in 1998, and it

ended a thrilling run by Croa- tia over the past five weeks. The Croats survived three consecutive extra-time games — and two penalty shootouts — in the knockout rounds to reach their first final, and they even had the better of the game on Sunday. But bad bounces and a better oppo- nent made all the difference.
LeSean McCoy may not have been the person who physically attacked his ex- girlfriend at her home last week, but the woman appar- ently believes he was respon- sible for leaving her hospitalized.
The Alpharetta Police De- partment released more infor- mation on Thursday about the attack on Delicia Cordon, and law enforcement officials say she told a dispatcher she “thinks her boyfriend (possi- bly) set her up.” Cordon also described the attacker as a black man wearing a mask dressed in all black. She said there was a sheet tied near an open window of her son’s sec- ond floor bedroom, which she took to mean the attacker es- caped that way.
Cordon also told police that the person who beat her demanded specific items of jewelry that were given to her

by McCoy. A previous report indicated that McCoy re- cently went to a judge in an attempt to have Cordon evicted from a home he owns.
The issues between McCoy and Cordon go back quite a while, as she publicly accused the Buffalo Bills star of cheating on her last sum- mer. Both the Bills and the NFL are looking into the alle- gations, and it certainly is not out of the realm of possibility that McCoy will be sus- pended to start the 2018 sea- son.
