Suspect Wanted In Home Invasion Robbery
Elderly Couple Robbed
Manatee County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who robbed an elderly couple at gunpoint Sunday.
According to deputies, a man in a car approached an 87-year- old woman who was pulling weeds in her yard in the Piney Point Mobile Home Park on 30th Avenue, East.
The man reportedly asked if she needed work done in her yard and when she said no, he drove off. The victim said the man circled around the block, stopped again and asked her for money. When she said no, he asked if her husband was home.
The woman was standing in the carport area when the man allegedly pushed her into the house, took cash from inside, and then left. The woman’s hus- band, who is 90, was in the house at the time.
The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-30s with short hair and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a blue or green tee shirt and dark pants. He was driving a beige sedan, possibly a Ford.

Robberies, Burglaries Keep Officers
Busy In District III Area
Tampa Police District III, commanded by Major Rocky Ratliff, are investigating sev- eral burglaries and robberies that have occurred in the area.
Beginning Saturday at 1:15 a.m., police said an unknown suspect robbed three people at gunpoint in the area of 25th Street and 20th Avenue.
One victim was robbed of his cell phone and a gold chain, the other victims ran, and the suspect also fled the scene.
Later on Saturday, at 7:19 p.m., officers said a teenager was riding a dirt bike that matched the description of a dirt bike stolen in a robbery.
Officers reported that the teenager crashed into a six- foot wood fence and hid the dirt bike in a shed at 2907 19th Avenue, then jumped the fence where officers were waiting to take him into custody.
The victim of the theft told officers the teenager had no business on her property and she wanted to follow through in pressing charges. He was ar- rested and transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
On Sunday at 7:20 a. m., of- ficers said unknown suspects unlawfully entered an apart- ment at 3711 East Ida Street by breaking a window to gain ac- cess.

the residence, police said they removed property and fled.
Also on Sunday at 9 p. m., police said a woman was walk- ing on 27th Street near 17th Avenue when she was robbed of her cell phone at gunpoint by four Black males. Two of the suspects remained in a ve- hicle and the remaining two approached the victim, one of them grabbing her by the throat and the other held a gun to her head. All four suspects fled the area.
On Monday at 3:53 a. m., an unknown suspect entered a ve- hicle and took a cell phone and a handful of change. The vehi- cle was parked in the at 300 block of West Frances Avenue, and the suspect fled the scene undetected.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the location and arrest of Willie Dennard Thomas for an outstanding warrant.
Thomas, 30, is wanted for armed home invasion robbery, false imprisonment and bat- tery on a person over 65. He was cooperating with detec- tives and agreed to turn him- self in over the weekend, but has not done so.
Thomas is known to fre- quent the Plant City and Polk County area and may be driv- ing a black Hyundai.
On November 19th at 2 a. m., Thomas allegedly forced his way into the home of a 77- year-old Plant City citizen. Once inside, police said Thomas, armed with a BB pistol that looked like a hand- gun, demanded money and

threatened to kill the victim. He tied the victim’s hands using a cord and sheet before fleeing with the victim’s purse containing cash. The victim was not injured and police said this was not a random act.
Carjacking Suspects Arrested
St. Petersburg Police re- ported that at 1 p. m. Monday, officers were contacted by a man who told them he had been carjacked at gunpoint by 3 to 4 male teenagers in the area of 39th Avenue, South and 8th Street. The vehicle was found by officers who tried to stop it in the area of 22nd Avenue, South and 45th Street. The vehicle fled and was pursued because it had been involved in a violent felony, police said.
Police said the pursuit lasted several minutes and was con-
fined to the southern section of the city. Also during the pursuit, the tire blew on the vehicle, but continued to flee on its rims.
Eventually the vehicle got on the I-275 ramp heading south in the northbound lane, where it lost control near 26th Avenue, South.
Two suspects fled on foot, but were subsequently ar- rested, one identified as the 16-year-old driver, and the other a 14-year-old.
No one was injured.

Shoplifter Shoots Inside Mall
ALONNA TEDESCO .....shot to death by her step-
father at Florida Hospital.
On Monday morning a school nurse from Pasco County was shot and killed while she was visiting a family member at Florida Hospital.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the gun- man, later identified as 70-year- old Steven Eugene Reynolds, shot his stepdaugh- ter, Alonna Tedesco, 41, then killed himself in an apparent murder-suicide.
Tedesco received immediate attention from medical person- nel after she was shot, but later died. Reynolds was pro- nounced dead at the scene.
The shooting occurred at 7 a. m. in a room on the third floor of the hospital. Deputies re- sponded within minutes and treated the scene as an active crime scene.
The room where the shooting took place was secured, and no one in the hospital was in dan- ger.
According to Pasco County Schools spokesperson, Linda Cobbe, Tedesco, a Registered Nurse, had worked with the dis- trict since August, and was the School Nurse at Hudson High and Middle Schools.
This is a surveillance photo of a man who fired at an employee inside the Citrus Park Mall Monday.
Hillsborough County Sher- iff’s deputies were at the Citrus Park Town Center Monday in- vestigating a shoplifting that resulted in at least one shot being fired by the suspect while inside the mall.
Preliminary information is that the suspect was at a kiosk inside the mall when he stole a piece of jewelry and fled on foot. An employee was chasing the suspect when the suspect turned and fired at the em- ployee. No one was hit by gun- fire.
The employee chased the suspect into the parking lot and after a struggle, retrieved the jewelry. The suspect escaped in a vehicle described as a beige Hyundai.
A surveillance photo of the suspect indicates he’s possibly a white male wearing glasses, 25-to-30 years old, 6’ to 6’3” tall with a medium build, brown hair, and was last seen wearing a white long sleeve shirt with green sleeves, and khaki shorts.
